Before now, the joys of being blue and vaguely humanoid were only known to Sorcerers, but no more! With this new amphibious vanity, any class can enjoy the hue. And a stylish Arcane fanny pack to boot.

Elder Woods "Lost Expedition" Content

The new pre-Elite content is full of great new things to collect, including a few functional armor sets used to either grant access to or assist you through some of the more difficult obstacles waiting for you in the new areas of the Elder Woods.

From left to right: Impermeable Set (allows you to better survive a poison riddled zone), Dueling Set (allows you to access new PvP), and Lost Expedition set (helps you through new Elder Woods zones).

What’s the point of now going new impeable set and get new lost expedition gear set and next season we get elite maps and on Halloween first arcanes. Is it atleast interesting to obtain these sets via quests or loot, or will it only be obtainable by mindlessly opening crates?

Thanks for the feedback! We'll have a much more detailed post on what to expect from the (entirely f2p) "Lost Expedition" content for Elder Woods next week.

The Dueling Set would also look good as vanity.

All of the gear for Lost Expedition have stats, but I agree with you! I'll add vanity versions to the list of things we need to do. We probably won't have time to set up these 'vanity' versions before the content is released but we can do it in a future update.

These pieces are 'Sets' and do not have any advancement features like the 'Spirit' stuff.

The Lost Expedition set is for Level 82 - 85 and is specifically designed to help new characters blaze through Elder Woods with a 3/3 that gives +25% XP and 15% Primary Stat. In Elder Woods (only) you gain +15% Armor, +15% Damage, and +20% Primary Stat (an additional +5%). There is also a 5/5 Lost Expedition set that raises the XP boost to 50% (grants an additional +25%), and raises the Primary Stat buff to 25% (via additional +5%). In the Elder Woods (only) the 5/5 gives you a lil bit of Crit Hit Damage boost ;-)

The 5/5 Lost Expedition set also unlocks Lost Expedition Weapons anti-toxin behaviors. There are 'Purifaction' and 'Arcazole' weapons that cleanse that specific toxin when you hit a target with a charged attack.

The meta cadence is a separate deal.

They're not. The lower-level stuff is useful for advancement and survival. The others are really about the lore...

One of the reasons the Lost Expedition got 'lost' in the first place is because of their beef with each other. They did a lot of dueling and they nerfed each other's ability to defend the expeditionary forces, the scholars and the corporate big-wigs that ventured to Elder Woods in search of new powerful jewels. The dueling set allows you to enter a special dueling area that's really just there for fun, with a little spin on PvP.

A secret area of the Elder Woods 'caverns' is crammed with flesh-melting poison. You could go there with your OP Star Beast stuff but you'll be a puddle in a few seconds. Wear the Impermeable Armor and Impermeable Helmet to survive, defeat "Dead Estus," and farm stuff you'll need for those aforementioned jewels.


+1 to the idea of ​​obtaining these new items through quests

The Lost Expedition set comes from a chest that is locked with a special type of key. Keys only come from quests (right now - though they could be sold in the Vendor for tokens at some point).

The Dueling and Impermeable sets are crafted. Knowledge of these crafts is hidden by veterans of the Expedition. Namely a disgruntled drunk named Dahl who's struggling with his failures as a 'guardian' and the loss of his true love Larysa. He won't talk to you unless you do something to snap him out of his stupor.

nice rogue vanity for upcoming goblin event. this will be the 3rd pregnant vanity looking atmor for rogue. first was haunted doll bride armor, winter wizards armor and now "there's a toad-ler inside my belly" vanity armor

A word to the players to be cautious on spending your gold on op gear(As they have been just overlapped by adding excessive gear sets).

Unless the jewels are something new and not the usual Primary stat, crit damg and +damg then it is just more of the same again and again.

Thanks for the heads up as i had my hopes up a bit for this but now not so much( Arbitrary gear sets and poisons, seems to be targeting players that are not end game players, jewels as loot not appealing).

I dont care about what vanity i use but the frogs look pretty cool.

I doubt it, otherwise they would just let all the other old vanities be lootable during events. Plus that mini event was a few seasons ago and last Golbin event didn't have it either. Could be wrong though.

Maybe those 2 new sets will be like anti-gnome, mireguard and the set from Valleytowne map where it give a special.bonus stats when being used at elder woods map? who knows, maybe it is since lots of daily quests gives few xp points now and in the future we need a new map to run with for xp since they'll give less xps once the lvl 91 cap has been released?

I'm not saying that I'm correct but i think that will be the purpose of.these new sets someday cuz i read on other thread that one of the set gives a bonus xp gain when being worn

if you make the sets be crafted , it is not really helping new players.
If they are tradeable they will be overpriced for new players.

Also make sets that make a character look like animals, will be fun if a person wore no vanity and looked like an arcanite tiger or panda or stuff.

I was just telling someone in game that I like the vanity because it reminded me of the time I spent collection poison dart frogs in Peru!
