New maps:

After reaching lvl 86 (Took 9 days, give or take one), i want to say that end game maps feel too punishing, wanted to reach 86 with <10 kills, Zodias minions didn't allow that, i left the game when cap was 46, the hulking Ren'Gol minions were never as punishing as those new ones, they feel fun to circle around as if they were a mini-boss, i didn't have to worry about dying unless i got too careless, new ones are annoying to fight against, not fun, even in group, unless you are getting carried chances are that you are going to die a few times against minions, not even the boss, too many insta death moments, not to mention the absurd amount of health the minions have, as a warrior i will spend a lot of time against a minion, the new maps appear to be build with the OP late game gear in mind, ignoring that most players won't have access to such gear, much less new ones.

I liked festerfang, hard when i was ungeared, but nice to go through, made me think of Ren'Gol, didn't have to worry about dying unless i got myself surrounded by minions or aggroed too many.

Not going to talk about the map with the green bar (Don't remember the name, played through the first once, not doing it again until geared).

Proposal:

Beginner set bonus, the free gear you get as you lvl up should get some sort of bonus, something like XP increase, armor and hp regen, things that will make the player want to play the game, instead of sitting around until they find someone to carry them.

Event:

Didn't play goblin, didn't enjoy inventory, the slots take too long to make and recipe for inventory (not crafting/furnishing) are too rare, i got to make two sets and that is it, the event will be over before i get to craft the 15 things necessary for one more, also, if going without party the event should pair you up with people with similar ms/gear, doing multi is no fun because some players will blitz through the map killing everything and then leaving and doing solo is too tedious.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240620/ca00a1fef24e065bd64f412562260211.jpg

Welcome to the AL 2024 A.K.A Pay2Win Legends.I do not think it to be pay to win, and if it is, it's probably less than when i left (With Garetta they introduced a NPC that would take new players to max lvl and gear them up, and at the time XP wasn't so freely given and XP requirements were kinda higher, i remember having to spend hours at the tombs to get some decent XP, so someone being able to just pay their way there was kinda insulting, right now you can get to lvl 50+ in your first day and max level in a week or less), a lot of the OP players that i see around are probably people that have been playing for ages (judging by the vanities some of them wear), my issue is more with the game not being playable as it once was, i was never a top player and never had any max or OP gear (First account is Giantmagnus, recovered it today, KDR will show the definition of an average player), but still had a lot of fun goofing around with friends or randos in maps, that part of the game seems to be currently gone, there is no goofing around because goofing will get you killed a million times, you just have to ask for help and find someone to carry you through your quests, and that just isn't as enjoyable.

this is the beginner player experience everyone been talking about although this guy played the game in the past so got some experience even

Also i honestly liked the proposal you actually have to give beginner sets some kind of buffs in order to make them carry themselves rather than keep asking for help to get carried and make them usable in pve only (to avoid usage inside pvp) this way the gameplay will be more satisfying for beginners.

The best option is to nerf everything.
For real the game is designed to be cleared by procs. And those procs are just more and more absurd in terms of numbers. They do too much damage compaired to normal attacks and skills.
So even with your best legendary gear you can’t do **** in new maps.
Nevertheless they do it on purpose to sell they gear.

I've not played for a while and hardly looked at the forums. Got some time on my hands this morning and decided to have a look and saw this thread.
The game has nothing to offer now. There's no satisfaction in playing endgame, there's no teamplay whatsoever (whatever level you are at) unless you play twink.
If you enter a map and don't fit in with the op guys, they leave you.
I don't bother with leaderboards but some of my friends do/did and they aren't happy and if they're not happy then I'm not.
It's really obvious what is happening but nobody wants to believe it and yes, it is pay to play if you want to be invited to the party.
This will be the first time I haven't bought plat when there's 40% sale on. I usually succumb but I have no desire to open my purse, in other words I have fallen out of love with AL. I just hope it doesn't end in divorce.
P.S. The events are abysmal compared to previous years.

+1 For me on everything Susie said...

For me personally I really loved this game, I mean most of the day playing and all of the night playing kind of love but I just don't feel it anymore. I want to again but its not happened yet. I log in now and then, I think just out of habit and also in hopes good changes take place and or I see some familiar faces. The entire feel of everything is different but not in a good way.

After all this time I sure hope it doesn't end this way.

I hope everyone has a Blessed day!

I’m sure they are scratching their heads too.

They put out an expansion that nobody really plays. I’m sure it’s frustrating on their side.

They added two more bonus maps which also nobody plays.

They are always asking for feedback from us and incorporate our ideas quite often.

I like the player base is why I stay, but boredom leads me to try other games. (We might have found another good one bunch of us on AL are trying it out, if it sticks I’ll spread the word. It’s cross platform and you can play mobile or PC.)

AL is like an old friend. Always there and if you don’t log in for 2 years and come back it’s exactly the same. Probably same people standing in camp too.

There is a natural evolution of games with new dlc. It’s where you have a viral game with lots of people online, and you reach the peak number of simultaneous players online early. Then, even years later, the player might notice this and think that somehow the game is less successful. But in reality the developer is making more sales than they were when there was peak user activity. The average customer is spending much more than before. This is a curious trend.

A bad gatcha well monetised earns more money than a good free to play mmorpg.

But sadly this game will come to its decline soon enough…

The game has become boring. Hands up all who have seen that sentence ingame? You log in (out of habit if you're a veteran), someone says, "Hi! How's you?". You reply, "Fine thanks, you?". They say, "I'm good thanks but I'm bored, just off to get something to eat, cya later". Or words to that effect.
Then there's the "event" conversion which usually starts with, "What do you think of the event?".
"Well I'll give it a try although there's not much on offer at the vendor".
"I gave it a few runs but I need to get off now because I'm at work, got something in the oven, the dog/cat/tortoise/goldfish needs feeding (or the overused)..my battery needs charging..cya later"
You heave a sigh of relief as you quickly look through your guild log to see who's left. Check your friend list to see if you still have any...then look in the auction just as the yawning starts and your eyes are closing.
Your inventory is a mess, you really do need to get rid of all those locked crates and...oooh, what's this? I forgot I had a purple rose, what's it for? I really...must..get.. around...to.......zzzzzzz. Then the surreal dream about Cinco serenading you whilst playing the harpsichord and wearing a tuxedo in your virtual house begins. Actually, that's my dream so get your own dreams whoever reads this.

P.S. Hi Chiiwawa! May you have a blessed day too my friend. 🙂

Whenever i read your comments guys i always ask to myself this: but if yall don't like the game, don't enjoy any content of it, find it boring and so on, why you simply don't uninstall the app? It's not provocation, is a real question. You guys don't wanna be "op", don't wanna play endgame, don't wanna keep up to date yet you complain you bored. There are alot of things i don't like of this game but i do enjoy endgame and my reason to play is to always improve myself and do those aps as a f2p player. You guys are so focused on nostalgia but all things change and best skill you can have is being flexible instead of just crying all time that things are not like before. I played zodias and i enjoyed alot to do those aps when it was difficult to achieve them, as much as i like now the new 2 maps and to try to find best way to run them, and if i die i die is not big deal. It's a game and no one forces you to play it

I'm not crying, just having a bit of light hearted banter. I ain't uninstalling the game because I'm waiting for the veterans rewards and living in hope that I get a girly face for my mage.
I couldn't cope without my daily login ritual, it's sheer habit, I don't smoke but I suppose it's a similar feeling..a cup of tea and a login.
Nobody is forcing us to play or are you? 🤔 No, you're too nice to make us play.
Anyway, nice to see you here Sulphurea, I saw your house, it's really nice.🙂
That's something I do too, look at people's houses.

And is funny that when is girly the vanity always gives preggo vibes... Maybe cinco trying to encourage us in reproducing who knows. For the rest, maybe cause i'm really a person that hate the "things were better in past" way of thinking or maybe cause i'm not OG idk, but i just much rather try enjoy what i can enjoy and yes decorating is one of those things

I like a bit of nostalgia but for me it's about the friends I had back then. I wonder what we would reproduce? Some sort of cross between a mage and warrior?? 🙈 I may get back into decorating but I would go for an open house or maybe sts would be kind enough to create a new house. I know we could do with some new furniture and a nice beach location would be nice.

Because we have invested years of our time and some of us a substantial amount of money in to this game. We have been around long enough to know how things can be and would like to see that reflected back again. It is not about 'The good ole days' its about 10 years of my life and Im not even going to say the amount of money.

However... A loss is a loss and thats just the way it is. So if things dont change then I will just have to live with it.

Bless you my friend.🙂

some good points! I have pretty much stopped playing daily. For me the game has nothing to offer for those who don’t run any type LB. The daily grind of rinse and repeat same map for gold gets old. I hate just spam for procs , seconds later, rinse and repeat. And how many times can a player create a house/guild layout b4 they run out of ideas?

I would love to see some type of daily/weekly guild rewards for players who earn points for quests they complete (competing against players in their own guild ofc, this would benefit more players across the board). In a guild there could be top 3 players with rewards, 1st (best rewards ofc) 2nd and 3rd. Have random points per quest be awarded. Example, 4 quests that reset, different from the previous, be available 3 times a day. Have each quest worth a certain amount of points based on difficulty. The weekly quests would be larger quests obtained thru the week. Example kill 1k mobs in a certain map . End of the week have a 24 hour down time. Devs could even expand this, and combine every players quest points earned, for a guild reward to all members. If the guild collected X amount of quest points needed for the week, players of that guild reap rewards. Rewards could be a chest to open with in game currencies jewels or something like that. *A weekly guild reward would not benefit super small guilds (like mine).*

I agree with what you’re saying here, not entirely sure about the proposal. Changing the gear to give exp doesn’t fix the problem of getting smoked by every new zone and waiting around to be carried.

Maybe a party system? It’s always a headache finding people my level outside of my guild, would be nice if I could “queue up” with other people so we could struggle together but have a better shot.

I guess that makes sense… it’s kinda weird when a game gives you gearing options but then gives you a set that you keep until end game. Maybe a temp elixer or something?
