Hello, I'll explain why multiplier procs are damaging the game, I specifically refer to those that give x2-x6 more damage such as kraken procs, sb procs, etc.

First point, it's exponentially harder for a new player to have a chance at the game. If you need 200k damage to reduce 10% of an enemy hp, is it fair for a new player who barely reaches 10k damage? Take into consideration that it really is close to zero damage done. Even the enthusiastic player who is willing to pay money to get a better chance would have to spend hundreds of dollars, for a game they don't even know if they will enjoy.

Second point, the game having a linear instead of exponential damage will keep being enjoyable for end game players. Awakes and jewels are the perfect way to keep rich people spending more gold to have an edge over others, they don't need to be 100 times more strong than your average player, even being 5 times stronger is sufficient to impress and feel that your gold was worthy.

Third point, the game is constantly getting more items that keep pushing those boundaries of what is acceptable. Instead of solving the problem, we are pushing more the differences. Now it is possible to have over 800k damage with procs. How in the world can you balance the game with this nonsense.

Make a realistic scenario of how strong a player should be, and adjust accordingly. I can almost assure you, giving how linear kraken, sb and rusk weapons stats are, that just completely removing the multiplier procs will not affect in a negative way the game. I'm still going to aim to the strongest and newest item, while not making a big deal of how new players are suddenly stronger.

Back in the day procs are used for utility/dmg which is now turned to stacking dmg multiplier is what I don't like personally tbh

Imagine you just started playing the game and you somehow managed to get to 86 (impossible without getting carried or be full geared) and then you try zodias/elder mobs u deal no dmg? I mean would u stick to play something that puts u below a mob lol

+1 to this thread as well cause this also an issue for PvP too people been crying about how a certain class is broken yet no one is talking about dmg multiplier which is funny
