Legends,

We're hard at work on the account reward system and you've already seen some progress in various preview threads. Most details will be shown in the final preview thread when the system is ready for launch, but for now we wanted to give you a bit of information on where we are right now with it. It's currently on the schedule to release sometime in Q3 (tentatively before end of summer).

We will be rewarding players that have played a long time with the 'Age' track. You will receive rewards at various tiers which are currently yearly up to 10. Among the rewards are:

Exclusive badges
Exclusive titles
Exclusive vanity set (all 8 slots).

We will be rewarding players that have purchased Platinum with the 'Platinum' track. You will receive rewards at various Platinum purchase thresholds still to be determined. Among the rewards are:

Exclusive badges
Exclusive titles
Exclusive vanity set (all 8 slots).
Ability to display a secondary badge (primary badge is to the left of your name, secondary badge is to the right of your name)
Gold name (your choice to use it per character)
Custom avatar/inspect background (your choice to use it per character)

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

All rewards are bound to the account.
Badges and titles count toward and can be used on any character.
Additional details and screenshots will be revealed as we get closer to launch in a preview thread.

Players who have been playing since 2012 or 2013 should get more even though we're f2p we've been playing this game the longest n just badge title n vanity doesn't make up for it

thank you for not making the reward an aura XDIt is far better than aura since its 8/8. So far it includes halos, wisp and aura + those helm armor vanities.

Yes, that's a good way to think about it, it's an account 'achievement' (there's no LB though). In fact, some of the existing account-related achievements will move to Account Rewards when we do the Achievement Revamp.

Yes, you'd max out the current 'Age' track for account rewards since you're 10y+.


My other question is how much platinum do you need to buy to get the rewards.

As mentioned in the original post, Platinum thresholds have not been set yet.

I'll think about extending the 'Age' track beyond 10y, but as it stands now, it only goes up to 10y.


The vanities are given to each character that an account has?

Right now, there's only one vanity [per slot] and you currently have to move them from character to character. You can't delete the vanity once claimed and you cannot delete a character that has that the vanity in inventory (move to stash or another character if you want to delete a character). If this needs to work differently, I'm open to suggestions, but that's how it works now.

Yes. It's permanent, and you'll receive the rewards once your account reaches a certain age.

I think that this round should be exclusive much like the vet shields that happened 10 years ago. Everytime vet rewards happen again should be different. Doing it aged based means that eventually everyone would have them.

I wanted to ask a question in regards to HC players. Will the vanity be able to be opened on HC and not located in stash, since we cannot access stash? Or will this simply work as the HC halo and any time you make a new character the vanity will appear in your inventory?

Like the title says I'm afraid what the devs will do with that. I hope they mean it when they say "veteran" rewards and not give it to everyone just cus they played for a year or etc. Since I'm sure some players will cry and complain why they can't get it when they only played for 2 years and then devs might comply and give rewards to everyone lmao.

Some players with outstanding amounts of plat history have been banned for obvious reasons in the past years,(abusing platinum offers), hopefully sts does look into any remaining accounts with suspicious plat histories so that they don’t get these rewards via illegitimate methods, it wouldn’t be fair to the players who’ve obtained their plat legitimately.

For reference 1,000,000 platinum would cost a little under $40,000 USD (during a 40% platinum sale)

I don’t think any of these rewards are granting any aps, if that’s what you are referring to. If you’re questioning why the developers felt gracious enough to give back to their long time veteran players who’ve played their game for 10+ years as well as the players who’ve been financially supporting their game for as long, it’s merely their way of showing thanks to us.

Being a “patron” for any business has it’s benefits and this is simply one of those benefits. Either way, AL has always been free to play and having these rewards available to the players who fund the game does not disturb or affect the free to play experience for anybody, any other questions? :)

Interesting perspective. I do think that those who paid for large amts of plat should get special recognition, bc without them, the bills don’t get paid, and the game can’t run.

But F2P players contribute a lot too, and some of us OGs have been extremely loyal to a game that we didn’t have any money “sunk” into. Both types (and those who are in both categories) def should be recognized.

I dont know whats the accomplishment for the game community development and keeping the community as small group when the account rewards clearly encourage the old players to stay play AL for longer due to the fact that the game has been focused soley on the end goal which is being rich for a long long time now. The account rewards should goes to new players that just joined the community if you guys want to get better and more feedbacks for the game

Sorry, but not sorry.Old players has a lot of experience and know better about the game than newcomers and it doesnt mean they dont have any knowledge of MMO mechanics and background in general. They definitely can apply their knowledge to give better feedbacks. Giving account rewards to people who are already part of community for years and years is encourage the players to stay in the community for longer and keeping the community as small group rather than newcomers stays longer and promote the growth of the community as well as the possible game development with their new ideas. So, Whats the accomplishment for that you think? I know its way too late and changing the game "mechanic" where its soley focused on being rich and economic based rather than the game contents itself in the community is up to newcomers at this point due to only few people who are already part of the community for so long realize that If we know whats the overall goal based on the game updates, the contents, and the players, its all about how fast we can get rich and nothing else at the end of the day

Good question

ok look there are Aps that many players I estimate around 80% of the community that have not been able to do and that will take a long time to do it, in my opinion it would be 3

HC APS - it is impossible to do it alone and it will take years after years and it will never be possible because it depends on the $

BADGE APS - getting to 50 badges takes time and now to 100 it is surely a year

TITLE APS - specifically this Aps just to get to 150 titles you must have played at least some events and if it contains tiers after 150 titles what follows is an event and to get to 200 that takes half a year or more depending on the events

taking into account that the TITLE and BADGE Aps are the ones that will make the Class LB table change a lot - many will go out if they do not have 200 titles or 75 badges

now this Aps Of the 1k that I want and would like to be added it will be tied to these Apps since the 3 take time. In 10 years you will surely reach 300 titles or what do you think bro that 300 titles are achieved in a season?

What can I say to new players? Well the same thing that the pro players of that time told me in 2013 who had 10m of PVE and 20k of FLAG just keep playing and you will achieve it.

I wanted to ask a question in regards to HC players. Will the vanity be able to be opened on HC and not located in stash, since we cannot access stash? Or will this simply work as the HC halo and any time you make a new character the vanity will appear in your inventory?

The vanities are character bound (no trade or stash), but we allow you to claim the vanities on every character. We limit you to one vanity per type in your house and one vanity per type on your character PER character. You can delete them and reclaim again in the account reward UI if you wish. You will also be able to display them in your house as well as wear them at the same time.


I hope they mean it when they say "veteran" rewards and not give it to everyone just cus they played for a year or etc.

The vanities will release over time based on account age and Platinum purchased.

Once you've unlocked say the Year 5 vanity, you will be able to wear that on any character of any class. Well, the weapons have constraints, but all of the weapons types (9) will be released at the same time.


Spending large amounts of cash on a game should never be seen as an 'Achievement', what world are you living in? All this is is to hope that people try to hit these 'Tiers' by spending more money. If they are not large values then every other person will have these rewards. So what's the point.. to spend more?

Couple points:
Warrior's Halberd from shield weapon looks really good but if the sycthe itself could be made a bit bigger and make the carved details golden would really stand out in a good way.

I dont know if this is in the works but having a exclusive emote unlocked while wearing the set would be much appreciated, as well as help making rogue and mage weapons more visible since they cant be seen in much details from the handling pose.

I think there’s a difference in feeling entitled and feeling strong-armed to make a plat purchase. Let’s just talk hotkey bars. I can farm as a brand new player and eventually save 6-10m after a hundred or so hours of farming assuming I don’t have decent good loot gear. A new player with no help would be spending weeks worth of game time to farm for a user interface feature? It makes no sense.

Whatever problems you’re currently facing as a f2p player won’t be solved by being granted these cosmetic awards, as much as sts values your tears and tantrums, it’ll all be in vain.

If you want it bad enough then meet the requirements, none of which requires you to have fully equipped endgame gear or gold, if it’s still out of your reach that’s nobody’s problem but your own. Deal with it.

Farm and grind your *** off... Learn how to merch. And btw you talk about how everything was cheaper before no it wasn't. Zaarus was once 100m+ as a set... And gold loot back then wasn't that good... And you needed gold loot + speed set. Now we have erahab, ekenta, and hedo. Boss maps where you don't really gotta run. And they drop a good amount of gold without gold loot. Let me give you some advice as f2p player myself. Farm jewels, farm elite chests, and run erahab with randoms (first step is always get to lvl 86). Events too hard? Make a lvl 1 character and use that to run events... Do plat offers. Spend your gold wisely. First step is to get gold loot.... The rest will follow.

You dont need hundred million or billion of golds, you can spend around 15-20m and good for stater pack to build ur end lvl. My friend gain 100m gold in faction wars event using low level. Also mobs and boss easy to kill. Just some tips from me for F2P.

Buying some platinum to support our developers for the continuation of this game is not something to argue about if you are able and willing. It's your decide :)

Play on Low Level, you can get cheap gears with good stats, also you can farm some gold in event if they put more golds drop. You dont need hundred million or billion of golds, you can spend around 15-20m and good for stater pack to build ur end lvl. My friend gain 100m gold in faction wars event using low level. Also mobs and boss easy to kill. Just some tips from me for F2P.

Buying some platinum to support our developers for the continuation of this game is not something to argue about if you are able and willing. It's your decide :)

I feel you. But this is for veteran players... Imo it is much easier to get rich. The only problem with f2p is they look at the whales and think that it's too far to reach and just give up and start buying vanity to look good and just stay in towns or gh. Farm and grind your *** off... Learn how to merch. And btw you talk about how everything was cheaper before no it wasn't. Zaarus was once 100m+ as a set... And gold loot back then wasn't that good... I do feel it should be by milestone depending how many years and how much plat one has on their history. So different rewards depending on the amount of time one has been playing and once one spent the certain amount of plat the should get a certain reward like a milestone

I would like coming vet rewards to be time specific like the 3rd birthday vet shields. Unfortunately they stated that everyone will eventually get the current ones as long as your account is old enough. Don't think those 3rd birthday ones are coming back
