Just a thought - Birds need to be strong against attack

Hey guys, noob player here to share a thought.

Got a set of LV65 Chiroptera Set weeks ago while I first step onto Humania land!

LVL 65 Sanguine Chiroptera Hoods, Leather, Dagger, & Wing uncrafted*

Pretty excited.. but then died many times, wondering if the set is strong enough for this island.

However, when I reached LV 68-69, I have found out that I could actually lead the whole team to fight in Lost Villas without losing life~~ :rapture: 3 hrs, died only twice.

My opinion is armor is really important for continuous fighting. I have seen Lvl 71-72 or even higher birdies died countless times, even though they could deliver higher damages. What's the point if you can't survive to deliver your attack? No offense here.

Another thing is Mana Regen, my base INT is 44, Mana Regen 17, for which I think my mana pool will never drain, never. I have stopped buying potions for a month. Pretty useful too.

In summary, now my birdie is capable of doing high speed damage, 502 DPS (I know, real damage is not this figure but remember, high speed), high armor (thanks to the wing) allowing me continuously delivering damages, and no need for taking blue potions. To me, this is just nice.

p.s.: I have seen a bird in Humania with over 600 DPS, can anyone advice me how effective is that?

While dagger is good it lacks one thing. Long range. Also usually bears lead the fight (or should) and birds should be in the back picking off the straying enemies with there xbows. Anyway thanks for the thoughts!

IMO, daggers are pretty bad weapons for birds. Bows and other ranged weapons are better than them in the same way that dodge trumps armour.
Simply put,
Not getting hit > Taking less damage from getting hit.
Using the range bows, talons, guns and xbows have, you can avoid taking damage in the first place from enemies with melee attacks and engaging other mobs becomes easier, because you don't have to be right in the face of mobs to deal damage to them. Simply play more cautiously and you will find a ranged bird is easily better than a dagger bird.

The generally much lower base damage of daggers is a pretty noticeable disadvantage for a class solely built to deliver damage. Can be decently effective, but will generally never out-dmg a recurve or auto/crossbow.

Get some str and wear Str set, if you want to survive in higher lvl map without elixir. Str = Dodge/HP, you dont need point in INT as a bird. Just go Str/Dex for best use. IMO, lvl 66 Humania set > lvl 65 Crafted Set, so if you can, get the sungod set instead of crafted sang set.
