Bonus Damage

There is a new index in AL - Bonus Dmg.
I have a question about it.

It's clear, it affects the Damage value, but exactly how it does?
What is the mathematical meaning of the Bonus Dmg (how it increases the Damage value) and in which cases?

"I think" that is is a critical chance like in DL which is Attack.

Dont u get a bonus dmg when having a full pink set equipped?

It's not critical chance, 'cause crit has its own attribute slot. Bonus damage might add damage upon crit, but I'm not really sure.
