I havent played AL yet cuz im at school. i got a question.when you make a new char you choose a wolf, turtle, or dog. are the other 2 obtainable or do you just always have to keep the pet u choose

The 2 others u can buy with 9k gold each but 9k could take quite some time to get.

Also are you able to swap pets in the middle of a pve and or pvp map or do you have to leave to swap pets?

You can swap whenever in pve. Haven't tried pvp yet so i wouldn't know about there.

You can, but it doesn't stick sometimes. I unlocked an owl, went to next map, and my wolf came back on his own.
Dub post lol. Are there quick switches for gear like pl?

Pets wont be allowed to help you in pvp i think, and pvp hasnt been added yet

Nope. You have to go into the inventory/stable to change anything.
