As well as iOS hitting in December, the game is going to become available on the Kindle Fire store! This means I could be able to play soon on the Kindle we have!

Here is the official announcement!

Arcane Legends is free on Google Play and the Chrome Web Store. It will launch on other platforms (including the iOS App Store and Kindle Fire Appstore) in December 2012. The game features optional microtransactions for virtual currency that enhance the play experience in a wide variety of ways.

You can play on the Kindle Fire now. In your Kindle, go to the web, type address:
http://account.spacetimestudios.com/download/

to download directly from STS.

Tap the appropriate game apk -- all their games are here. You'll see a notification of download. When it's finished downloading, tap on it, install it, then open it.

Play.

Could try that, and it's still an official version?

Unless you can't control yourself and try to install any random app that comes along, then yes. It still requires you to ok the install. An app can't just auto install because you go to some website.

A few good rules to follow when side loading apps:

#1. Trust your source of the apk. If you can get it from the dev site, great. If you get it from somewhere else, be wary. XDA does a pretty decent job of policing apps, as do the majority of the major Android news sites. That Chinese app store, not so much.

#2. Don't pirate paid apps. You'll be ripping of the dev, and a lot of mobile devices are one man operations that work in the weekends. They could use the money. Also, pirate apps are a good way to get all sorts of nasty viruses and malware on your device.

#3. When in doubt, don't install it.

Yes, turn on the sideload apps that allows apps not from the Amazon Store to be downloaded, and go to that website Fyrce provided, and download the apk. You can download all of STS's games on your Kindle Fire, and its completely "official" lol. Have ffun! :D

This is an official version, the Kindle Fire is still an android based OS, the store for Kindle Fire is just particular and thus you won't be able to download and update conveniently until the game is officially released through the Amazon store. Players were doing this for DL before iOS was released as well. Enjoy!
