As we come up on the anniversary of the Elder Woods expansion release, it's time to use your honed Elder Woods knowledge and skill in a brand new challenge--Elder Woods Elites.

The Maps

Navigate to the Elder Woods Elite content by selecting "Elite Maps" on the World Map. Be prepared for heavier hitting attacks, larger health pools, and higher stakes. If you're aiming for Leaderboard fame, don't forget to check the "LB Run" box when entering a map.

As the pop-up will state, Leaderboard runs are automatically scaled to max level and are not for the faint of heart!

Also, keep your eye out for 4 ultra-rare mini-boss spawns: Felfang, Krysalyn, Platasu, and Rhinoras, which will grant a special achievement (see below) when defeated.

Elite Elder Woods Bosses have the chance to drop a handful of new Elder Woods themed furnishings, including 3 sizes of forest wall, and an Elder Woods Brazier, perfect for turning your home into a cozy forest getaway.

Plus, while not a part of the Elite content, Dead Estus in the Poison Caverns now also drops the Poison Miasma furnishing, which adds a sparkling poisonous cloud to an area of your home.

With new content comes new achievements. Here are the new achievements available for Elder Woods Elites. Complete them all for one final ultimate achievement, which comes with a special title and badge.

Defeat Elite: Anons, Iccas, Grohl, Smear, and Hedourah - 275 AP each (1375 total)
Defeat each Elite Elder Woods boss once.

Completing the Elite Hedourah achievement, will also grant you the ability to craft 3 Star Stone furnishings, the Chair, Table, and Torch, glowing with mysterious meteoric light.

Is there any other loot other than furniture? Do bosses drop elixirs (fish), is there electrum chest drop (or new elite runner chest)?

I think there will be, in fact we need arcane weapons to be able to advance in elite. Remember that this is just a preview and there is still time, more things will be added ^_^ (vanitys, equipment, new jewelry)

Remember that lost weapons such as the Lost Expedition Arcazole Kukri Of Assault, deploy an "Arcazole" anti-toxin if you are wearing 5/5 Lost Expedition Set. And Lost of Potency activate a purifaction anti-toxin

Yes - but to be clear: the Elite Elder Woods is really about AP's (and there are a lot of them).


Some of these (AP's) are just silly.

True. But they're also reflective of what many players do.


Will Lost Expedition bosses count toward 5k Elite bosses aps?

Lost Expedition bosses are normal content; they are not 'Elite' (they do not have Elite Damage, they do not have Elite monster health pool, resistances, etc.) so they will not count.

That said, I have been thinking about adding an 'Elite' version of these maps - and will make a decision on that very soon.
