It’s a Mandela effect, you would think it works. Unfortunately it doesn’t. When I used to run events for petty tokens to craft items I used xp elixir already being level 86 for a level one pet. Then I didn’t use an xp elixir and leveled another pet. Yet they didn’t seem to have a difference with how fast the pet leveled. So my answer is no, unless the developers say otherwise. I don’t think the xp elixirs (user granted) matter for your pets. @asommers

If you kill 10 mobs without elixir, you will gain XP value.
if you kill the same 10 mobs with elixir you will notice higher XP.
You can check this text now in Elder Woods and you will see that it works!

Maybe I’m wrong but I tested this with a normal 60% extra elix in zod cleared like 8 mobs with lvl 1 hero black light and got level 3 with 10 xp

Then I used no elixir and killed around 7 mobs on the next map and got level 3 with 5 xp

I just checked in to Elder Woods and my pets get extra XP when I use XP Elixir.

without elixirs first 5 mobs in indigo gave 70ish
with elixir 90 ish
yes i’m 86

If you don’t do the exact same number/type of mobs, you will see variation
The person objecting said “like 8 mobs” “ they didn’t seem to” - which isn’t exact
I even checked that the mob type of the 5 I tested was exactly the same
