Preview: Pet Evolution Kickoff

Pet Evolution is here! And we're kicking off with a mini-event to get everyone familiar with the system, plus give you a headstart on collecting Trainers and Shards. The Pet Evolution Mini-Event will start at 1:30pm CT on 9/19/24 and last for 1 week.

Getting Started

In the kickoff mini-event, look out for Balboa the Beastmaster who will share more information about a new scholarly discovery: Pet Evolution! Everyone can access the feature with or without Balboa's quest, but she will grant you some great rewards to get started.

Quests and Rewards

After accepting Balboa's first quest, you'll need to venture out to find the random encounter mini-boss Devolo. Devolo will spawn from any enemy at any level, so take a look around nearby to find him. Return to Balboa after defeating him to receive your very first Legendary Pet Trainer!

Survive another round with Devolo and return to Balboa again for your first 100 Legendary Pet Evolution Shards. This is enough to get your first Evolution level and most of the way to your second!

Completing this quest will unlock a final [Daily] Quest to find a much tougher undead enemy, Yvon. To find Yvon, seek out enemies within 10 levels of your character. Once defeated, Balboa will reward you with the Bound Beastmaster Trainer Cache which will grant you one random Pet Trainer up to HEROIC rarity!

Once you complete Balboa's 2 main quests to defeat Devolo, you unlock the chance to loot the Beastmaster Trainer Cache and the Beastmaster Shard Cache items. Beastmaster Shard Caches will drop randomly from any boss, regardless of level, though there is a 1 hour cooldown before you can loot it from the same boss.

The Beast Master Trainer Cache is free to open, tradable, and will grant one (1) Trainer of any rarity.

Similar to the trainer cache, the Beast Master Shard Cache is free to open, tradable, and will grant one (1) Shard of any rarity.

any update to the gold required to level up the pets? Original prices were crazy high for arcane and heroic considering you have to do 20 of each for aps. Also 1 shard lmao

agree. Kindly increase the shard to 2 to 3 per chest. 1 is just too less considering that we need 100 for the first tier, and it will increase the shard we need to advance to second and further tiers.

The trainers and shards are not tradable once obtained from the chests, but the bosses drop chests and the chests are tradable. I have updated the original post with this information.

Just want to know regards of the 1 hour cooldown. Will there be a timer show on the map after we kill the map boss. Or we have to count it ourselves. Plus, it said 10 level for any levels. Does it mean, a lv 14 account is playable and loot the chest from any map level range lv4 up to lv 24?

Also, do the bosses also meant for the boss from tombs and arena? Because there are few bosses inside the zone and does it mean there is a chance to loot the chest from any single boss (example: 5 bosses from arena, each drop 1 chest. After one boss drop the chest, the boss will go into 1 hour cooldown but we still able to loot the chest from the remaining 4 bosses) or just one map one boss will drop the chest.

add a lvl 1 arcane artifacts to the chest to make it worth farming .maybe its proc grants some pet's damage (stacking) since the lvl character can make use of bonus pet's damage or even better just give it a 25% pet's damage (stacking) on the passive i mean we already has a lvl bracelet might as well has a arti to go with it and it is fittings with the new feature too.
