Why is the bio beast so expensive? Is it just because it’s rare? Is it even useful in hedo?

Ikr? I thought this is a useless set at first too.
Not sure why because I don't have the set but it will let you do a lot more dmg on boss than sb set.
I heard it's not just set bonus but each pieces proc, which don't say in description, that might add some dmg.

Depending on what jewels you have in there, it will let you do 1/3 to more than x2 dmg

On this thread u can see that bio beast pieces has some kind of "proc" of poison, which explains why it's "better" than star beast, the rarity is also another factor that justifies the value.
I think it should be on the item description in game than just in a forum thread.

I really only use it when everything is in cd. Horrible in a clash. All I found it op at is killing wars 1v1 and even then only until they get the timing down.
