Arlor Halloween 2024 | Curse of the Hallow Moon



Here's the thing about zombies...they tend to return. And they've done just that this year. Necropolis is once more overrun with terrifying undead and it's up to you to stop it! Don't forget to visit Arlor's best haunted houses: Boogie's Mansion and the Oligarch's Mansion for more tricks and treats!

This event begins Thursday, October 17th, at approximately 1:30 PM CST. It will run for three (3) spooktacular weeks, with a 3-day cooldown.

What's New


In addition to the event's new vanities, pets, etc...Keep an eye out for NEW Level 86 Arcane Armor and Helmet items in Locked Crates

Note: the new Blood Star Arcane Armor and Helmet will be part of a Level 86 Arcane 3-Piece Set that includes an additional item that will be released in future events!

How it Works

The Halloween Event is energy-based. Spend energy points to enter the boss zone, defeat Necropolis monsters to progress through the event tiers, and earn tokens to redeem for the Token Vendor's stash of Halloween goodies. Tiers and leaderboards will reset each week with a fresh opportunity to climb and collect new rewards.

You can get to the Necropolis either from the main map or by talking to the Necropolis Gatekeeper.

Talk to Tommy Noggin after completing all of the Halloween quests (including dailies) to unlock a long-forgotten Title:

You will also find the portal to the Event Zone. This requires energy to enter:

Event Zone:

Once inside you are prompted to purchase a Bane Item that will vastly help in this area. Note: This item will expire at the end of the event.

Make your way through, cutting down enemies until you reach a final boss battle:

On occasion, defeating this boss will open a separate portal to one of two special Halloween event zones: Boogie's Mansion or the Oligarch's Mansion.

You must bring one 2024 Necropolis Candy Bag if you want the chance to visit these haunted houses.

Collect the Candy Bars that drop from mobs all around Arlor and craft them into Candy bags to open the way to the Boogie or the Oligarch's Mansion.

Oligarch's Mansion

The Oligarch is anything but hospitable. To reach him you'll have to wander the halls of his opulent mansion, avoiding traps that will damage, slow, and stun you, all while cutting down the zombie hoard that's taken up residence inside.

Defeat The Oligarch, and you'll receive the Oligarch's Bag 2024, defeat him with the farmer's elixir active and you'll receive the Oligarch's Haunted Bag 2024, a special event chest that has a chance to drop a whole slew of Halloween goodies. (List Below)

Boogie's Mansion

Boogie's Mansion ends on the Dance Floor, where you will do battle with Arlor's coolest ghost!

Defeat him to drop Boogie's Bag 2024, or if you have a farmer's elixir active, he will drop Boogie's Haunted Bag 2024, which contains similar loot to the Oligarch's bag. See below!

Nice, arcane ain't much better than kraken(that's very nice to adjust game balance), but I noticed the buffs that were only for armor(like haste and speed) are now divided with helm, yet a stats that I think important for war and mages are missing:Crit chance. Hopefully they can be included in any other arc 86 proc.

Neigher has 25%, this one as Neigher's successor should have higher damage bonus, and honestly bosses are enemy we need dmg for, minions are paper, no need 30% non-boss damage. Please consider 30% dmg + 20% non-boss dmg or 35% dmg + 15% non-boss dmg change in HB.

- I won't comment new gear this time.

This event looks amazing already! Great job to the team at STS. A minor suggestion, maybe while running the elix or without running the elix add a few more drops to the bosses? Crafting speed up kits, jewels etc. You guys did this last year and made it possible for non-plat and plat players to have fun while making a ton of gold. Just a suggestion before the event goes live tomorrow.

Questions:
1. Is this new arcane set fully replacing kraken? It's just 3 pieces, and none of those are weapons, so is there another arc set coming?
2. Will the mansion and Boogie maps have a gate for boss? Last year many op's (some might say jerks)just killed the boss whether everyone was in range or not, wasting the other players' bags
3. Will zaarus users be able to kill the bosses solo? (This is especially an issue if the answer to #2 is no)
4. Will the new scavenger hunt be open to all levels? (RIP town ghosties!)

I'll be honest. I'm disgusted that the event packs cost 14k plat. (Week3)
Hell even 8k is ridiculous. That's my entire paycheck for a week. No... Just no...

I want to put it into perspective for some people

I considered myself to be a pretty healthy supporter of AL and throughout the years (11) I've had my STS account I've spent enough to receive 28k plat... Now imagine that you really wanted that week 3 event pack. Well it's roughly 460$ if the plat sale is around.

This will instantly make these items heavily taxed due to them being paid for with such absurd dollar amounts.

Id say 1.2b probably at least for week 3 pack.

I can understand why they did this. Every game manufacturer has seemingly jumped on this absolute disgusting pay to win train. And I always knew and was okay with the fact STS needs to make money as a business. But when plat items get more attention than LB rewards.. man. This bums me out and makes me really question the trajectory of all of these pay to win events and additions.

We have new bio sets... Plat wall.

Auras vanity and event items guarded with plat purchases.

Now we're giving the best arcane items to rich IRL players? Makes me question why I even spend 8 hours a day playing to get out passed by some super whale who single handedly paid Cincos rent last month.

These people who have cash are able to swoop in and skip ahead months if not years of farming

The amount of players who are able to purchase these absurd amounts are more frequent than people think because otherwise they wouldn't do something like this.

We have had enough with plat walls and focus on the pay to win aspect.

On a *Different* note:

When you have critical chance % on Rogue gear (86 arcane )when most of us have 180+ % crit. Is also absurd.

And why bring back the sorcerer mask. Can't we just keep the old ones floating around and maybe get something new or gold.

Can we get something to FARM like a map with gear like cata had.

This is depressing thinking that I HAVE to get real life cash just in order to buy an item I want in game. And if I don't I'll have to farm half a year until I get the gold for the arcanes. Or the price goes down.

Let's not mention awakes and all the other problems like crafting slots and inv slots being behind plat wall and gold walls.

There are enough things to spend platinum on and adding more is not only MIND numbing but also where I probably just draw the line.

I hope that this is the last we see of this balogna. But if enough rich players buy this... That speaks more volumes than my entire post. They will listen to money over the player community and I had thought that it wasn't that bad until I saw the pet evolution and this ridiculousness.

And these devs hate people crying it's obvious they say it. Mention it. Own it... Well I'm not crying I'm a supporter who is outraged.

But it wont matter because in the end. If players indeed do decide to buy these packs.... It's setting the scene for future events.

I hope "chance to proc" in helm is high, otherwise i would like to suggest changing it to "deal damage to proc", because haste/speed was taken from armor (kraken) and moved in helm, and warriors would miss haste.

Now. We have labyrinth in AL. Where I saw no useful gear drop for people who need it. Not even in thousands of runs.
That's ridiculous.

200k made by STS in September 2024 alone. That is 150k from iOS users and 50k from Android.

So whoever is making insane purchases on their iPhone. You single handedly give the devs free reign to hone in on stuff like this. And target our money. Losing sight of the game. The interview with Cinco 11 years ago where he is absolutely immersed in the conversation about Arcane Legends. I never thought THIS would happen.

We all know bills need to be paid and money needs to be made. But this is a STRETCH.

I really hoped STS would make their money with this pet event. And plat purchases. But adding this extra layer of payment wall stuff this will increase their monthly sales.

Can you please change 20% dmg from Heroic Moonshade's HB into 30%? Basically reverse it with non-boss damage: 30% dmg + 20% non-boss dmg would be in HB. Why? 1 year old Neigher has better HB against bosses (25% dmg in Neigher vs 20% in Moonshade), what is the point of buying this one? It's curse was moved from passive to AA as well. Hope HB can be adjusted. Same could work for other 2 new pets (spider and fox) with 30% dmg and 20% ed/bd.

Well you were trying to rationalize the absurd 250-500$ USD packs in the first place when a pack of that caliber should not exist in any game.There are games out there where people spend thousands for a title or some small upgrade. $500 isn't much, but if they add a $500 pack atleast make it worth it.
Some games it costs over $120k to max out their top up system perks to max level.

Thank you STS for giving people who are grinding in real life a chance to catch up with the game. I hope buying the event packs wont be a big issue.

May I suggest bringing out Frankenstein vanity out too? I’d spend $50k platinums for that bad boy. And, since we are at this point of the game, May I suggest selling Leaderboard points for platinums.. you know.. 10 platinums for 1k points.

And oh.. can we have an “Auto Clear” option that automatically wipes out a dungeon for like.. 5 platinums maybe.

Oh and also, can we release platinum version animations of skills where in my windmill becomes golden cyclone effect. And, my skyward smash throws out marshmallows instead of rocks. We’d definitely get more platinums that way.

Oh also, can we have like a halloween costume event where players get to buy participation tickets for 100 platinums maybe. Winner gets a badge, title and the losers gets like 3 cracked jewels for their stats.

Oh also, can we create like a Virtual Assistant in-game. A white fairy maybe that will pop-out and inform you about events that are about to happen, end, anything interesting etc. And it’ll cost like $5 subscription that gets auto payed every month.

Oh another one, kindly revamp pet evolutions. Make the pets literally evolve. For 5000 platinum we can evolve Sapphire to become bigger, walk on two legs and slaps enemies (chance to get banished)

Also.. since platinums will surely be the game changing currency from this point onwards, can we have a VIP system? You know.. like if you spent 50k platinums on the game, you get added stats.
