The new character screen is a pain for multiple reasons.
1. It was faster to switch between characters in the previous menu context and I already named my characters in a way that brought my top 4 to the top of my screen so no need to filter. With the new update it takes an extra step after choosing my character to back out in order to “play” and load the game.
2. Having the character badge vs the character class image makes no sense to me. For my hc char I had all 3 using a seasonal on badge that was color coordinated with the hc char name however when this new change took place all 3 of my hc char all had the same badge which was confusing. I’ve added a couple of screenshots so you can see what I mean: the hardcore rogue I removed the badge to make the point about how much easier it is to pick a char without having the badge displayed. I’ve no doubt that someone who only plays one character class might like the change but I would think that for the majority it does nothing to help by displaying the characters badge as the character’s avatar on login.
