How does it make sense that this gem is the same as new nature cursewood stone?

Goblin gloomstone was obtained in time-limited vault, only 3 stack and each was 750 plat to get it.

I feel really disappointed to see the exact same jewel come back like this. In fact the new gem is even better because it isn’t limited by any stacking rules.
