Mage build, looking for HELP

Hey guys. I came back to game after some time. Last time I played I was capped at 76. I am playing as a Mage
What skill set should I have (passives etc)? Can somebody help me with that?
I saw that there is new elite maps. What equip does mage need to at least do something? Appreciate much! :)

Idk your budget;
The sets that might get you started, ranked worst on up
3/3 or 6/6 wise serpent of the abyss (legendary set)
Zaar lv 81 set 4/4 (arcane set)
Kraken set (varies)
Star beast (3/6 or 6/6, 7/6)
Bio set & others after that but you said returning player, so no need to to explain best sets
Some sets can be mixed & matched

Your first goal should be to level up, unless you can do an event & make $. Which u prolly can’t with this current event

Double xp daily events happen on about the first and fifteenth of the month

What skills to use can vary depending on what map and which gear you have, but
Popular pve skills are like fire, lightning, curse, shield, clock, ice

Imho heal is only used in certain maps, like Raba

Some more than others but the point is level up and save $ cuz stuff gonna cost a #@=% lot, lol

Also some pets can add experience as a bonus, plus various elixirs can stack and help
