Fire Choppa VS Trollbane

Which is better in overall damage?

1) Fire Choppa - Higher raw damage & chance to proc additional fire damage.

2) Trollbane - Lower raw damage & 10% chance to proc burn on the target.

Please post your opinions and experience on these 2 weapons?

Trollbane is the best one. As we all know, fire choppas are bugged. They do not do the damage they say.

i vote vorpal almost same damage as trollbane and chance to proc crit aka 2x dmg

How about emblazed axes? Seems to make higher damage than trollbane, I've tested both and i feel emblazed axe is doing the work better :o

I personally switch it up since I have both. One map Fire Choppa the other Mighty Trollbane.

Fire Choppas and Fire Axes are broken. Only 50-60% damage output.

Thats why Fire Axes go for 50-70k and fire choppas 100-120k only while cheapest trollbane is 300k (?).
only noobs buy them who dont know the bug

my choppa still out damages trollbanes bugged. you guys cant base damage from normal attacks. mobs have armor,dodge ect. my skills are deadly ive seen 290+ crits using choppa and highest trolbane crit was 215 and that was mighty also. Now damage value may be bugged but attacks seem fine.

Thanks for pointing this out Zero. Just because you damage shows 80, doesn't mean your swings will be +/- 80 because of armor on mobs and probably higher armor on bosses.

Commander- Can you equip both your Choppa and your Trollbane and tell me which one shows higher Damage for Skyward Smash, windmill etc, whatever offensive skills you are using?

yeah got ribbit too. but only 3 sec crit time.. than cooldown time of skill 30(?) sec.

on long run the normal damage is more important, as u dont crit so often.. correct me if i am wrong..

yeah in those 3 seconds if i hit windmill atleast 50% are crits. but im also a skill spammer skyward smash is on such a small cooldown spamming that adds up and the normal attacks too. then when i pop Vengeful Blood its game over.

but yeah the damage value is bugged it seems its real value is at 33-34.5 damage not 46.5. which will bring it to where it needs.

None of the weapons calculate correctly on your Avatar screen. If you take any weapon damage * your damage % it never (i have yet to see it) = the damage on your Avatar page. The formula works just fine for rings/amulets with damage on them, but the weapons generally off in this calculation

Oh so the fire axe is bugged? lol didn't know it when i saw it priced at 2K in CS. Snapped it up.

If the fire axes are indeed bugged, their price will increase as soon as STS fixes them.

Im kinda of new to game. But im lvl 14 i think. Not sure im at college cant check. My plan is go all into str, and gear for crit and damage. Whirldwind being my main skill. Im going damage passive, crit passive, and str passive. Vengeful blood for more crits. I plan on ribbet aswel. My question is would i be better off with Trollbane, Fire choppa, or maybe something else? please reply. Weapon is only thing im having trouble with. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Side note: How can i aquire ribbet?
