A dragon stirs when the cold winds blow. Syrillax is back for another year, but her brood continues to grow, and with it, the threat to Frozen Hope. The residents of Frozen Hope have opened their gates to all Arlorian heroes willing to take up arms against the dragons.

The Winter Event runs for 3 weeks from 12/12 to 1/2, with a 3 day cooldown.

This is an Energy Event. Energy Essence drops everywhere in the realm but the chances to loot are higher when fighting monsters at (or above) your level, and lower when fighting monsters below your level.

Notable differences week-by-week include:


+A new and different Level 86 Arcane Blood Star accessory is available each week in event crates. Open crates during all 3 weeks to collect all 3.

Blood Star Set Details:

Collecting the 3 Blood Star accessories throughout the Winter Event will contribute to the 3 and 6-piece Blood Star set bonuses.

3 items equipped: The cosmic power of the Blood Star gives you +30% Primary Stat, +20% Health, +20% Damage (stacking), +20% Movement Speed (stacking), +15% Critical Hit Damage, +10% Haste, and +10% resistance to Nature, Shadow, and Cosmic Damage.


6 items equipped: Additional Stats! +10% Primary Stat (+40% total), +5% Health (+25% total), +10% Damage (stacking, +30% total), +5% Movement Speed (stacking, +25% total), +5% Critical Hit Damage (+20% total), +5% Haste (+15% total), and +5% resistance to Nature, Shadow and Cosmic Damage (+15% resistance total).


Winterforged Set Details:

There are 8 pieces to the Winterforged set, available to craft during the Winter Event. Crafting each piece will require a piece of the Snowstorm Set. The Winterforged Set is an upgraded version of the Snowstorm Set with improved stats! Each piece of the Winterforged Set (minus the weapons) has a 5% chance to add the Hailstone Gem Freeze to an enemy on damage! Having all 8 pieces will grant the following bonuses...

Winter's Embrace: 8 items equipped: The Winter's Embrace provides +35% Primary Stat, +35% Speed (Stacking), +30% Health, +30% Mana, +30% Armor, +30% Damage (stacking), +20% Haste, +20% Critical Hit Damage. Winter's Embrace has an additional 10% chance of damage to add the Hailstone Gem Freeze to the target!


An 8/8 set will also unlock the "Fatal Frostbite" proc on Winterstorm weapons when the full 8/8 set is active! Charged attacks will afflict an enemy with Frostbite (if the proc is not on cooldown). Afflicted enemies take significant bonus damage from subsequent attacks. Increased bonus damage from charge attacks!

Note: Take advantage of the Hailstone Gem Freeze to a target by stacking the NEW Frostfire Gem with the Winterforged Set!

Each daily gift pack will grant you:

+ 50 Pet Experience Kit (bound - open it to give 50 XP to your Summoned pet; doesn't open if the summoned pet is already at your level).

Mount Spyr

Kick off the Winter Event by entering the Mount Spyr Pass portal. Fight bosses and baddies, earn tokens, and loot items and chests.

Most importantly, snag the Weak Flamestones and open chests that drop in the zone to earn Icy Dragon Scales. These will be instrumental in defeating Syrillax's brood later on.


Event Zone: The Brooding Grounds

Throughout the Winter Event, Syrillax's brood egg begins to stir and all Arlorian heroes must gather to defeat it before it gets out of control!

The egg resides in the Brooding Grounds, defeat the cracked egg and make sure what's inside doesn't leave those grounds. To enter you must craft the Dragon Flamestones. When you enter the zone, one Dragon Flamestone will be removed from your inventory, the egg will hatch and the fight will commence!

Frostfire will drop pet eggs and items (details below), so don't miss out!

For the more active farmers, you can purchase a special stash and trade-friendly hunter's elixir from the event vendor for 10 Platinum.
This elixir will provide 2x chances to loot, additional score points, exclusive access to vanity loot, decreased effects of frost damage, and increased damage in the Winter Event zones!
Elixir lasts for ten (10) minutes.

365 days until i can have Frostfire pet, you can't be serious....

This event has so many things i would put at + (pros) list: new arcane pieces, perfect loot from bosses (jewels, gems), frostfire dragon design, frostfire banner, claus set, frostfire wings, new gl set, that won't bury venal set, ... This event is really rich on stuff.

Looking at furniture preview, is Frostfire really that big compared to Frostwyrm? This dragon will take half of my house space.

Daaam those frostfire set looks so nice, It scares me that this locked loot, usually those are rarer than arcane items itself...

The arcane bracelet 86 stats seems to me to be inferior when compared to the power that 81 has (15% stats), even though it has several other things that the 81 doesn't have, maybe we'll only know if we test it.

Loved the back of hailstone and eye gem.

Sadly you are still offering arcane 81 as guaranteed loot.

There are 8 pieces to the Winterforged set, available to craft during the Winter Event. Crafting each piece will require a piece of the Snowstorm Set. The Winterforged Set is an upgraded version of the Snowstorm Set with improved stats! Having all 8 pieces will grant the following bonuses...

Winter's Embrace: 8 items equipped: The Winter's Embrace provides +35% Primary Stat, +35% Speed (Stacking), +30% Health, +30% Mana, +30% Armor, +30% Damage (stacking), +20% Haste, +20% Critical Hit Damage. Winter's Embrace has a 25% chance of damage to add the Hailstone Gem Freeze to the target!


An 8/8 set will also unlock the "Fatal Frostbite" proc on Winterstorm weapons when the full 8/8 set is active! Charged attacks will afflict an enemy with Frostbite (if the proc is not on cooldown). Afflicted enemies take significant bonus damage from subsequent attacks. Increased bonus damage from charge attacks!


Can we get some clarification on 3 points, please?
1) Is the Winterforged proc considerably more powerful than the proc on the Snowstorm 8/8 set? I worked very hard (and had to spend quite a bit of gold) last year to collect and craft this set last year, then never used it because the proc was like a sneeze. Can you please describe the new proc in detail, so owners of the Snowstorm set can make an informed decision on upgrading their sets to Winterforged? The stats upgrades information is helpful, but the proc is the thing on this 8/8 set.

2) The quote above says one piece of Winterstorm is needed to craft the corresponding Winterforged piece, but the crafting details in the devs' 2nd post shows 2 pieces are needed for each- including the artifact! If it is 2 pieces plus the addtitional ingredients to make 1 new one, this is going to create a situation where the crafting ingredients will so expensive that only the very rich will be able to afford to do it. It doesn't make sense for a mid set. These ingredients will already be under scarcity stress, because lots of players will want to upgrade just their snow weapons.

3) Will doing the upgrade from Snowstorm to Winterforged erase the awakenings? This was a considerable expense, since it's an 8 piece set.

1) It is the same proc between the Snowstorm Set and the Winterforged Set but the Winter's Embrace also adds a 25% chance on damage to add the Hailstone Gem Freeze to the target.

2) You need at least a piece of Snowstorm to craft one Winterforged item. It was just letting you know that the Snowstorm items are required to craft the Winterforged Set. The details in the crafting section are correct.

3) It will consume your Snowstorm item to craft the Winterforged item.

What specifically makes the arcane set do more damage than SB proc / Bio set proc?. Nothing in that description tells me that it will be better, is it going to be a hidden proc that does rediculous damage or?

The procs on all 3 new arcanes seem very underwhelming.

Also, why can't level 86 arcanes be guaranteed loot yet? It's beyond frustrating looking arcane rings 99.99% of the time from "guaranteed loot".

Everything looks great just remove the guarantee lvl 81 we already have 86 arcanes idk what is ur point in giving lvl 81 arcanes to player other than milking PPL just remove them enough of lvl 81 arcanes in guarantee+1. Change the guarantee to atleast sb piece or flaw/corrupt jewels.

Tbh, I don't really think if it's worth it to invest for this LB heroic egg, if this egg will be available on Eggzavier Event. Unlike LB Vanity Set we can keep it for a while then sell later on for higher price.

If you spend tradeable energy, ofc it wont worth it. The pets looks great, but stats are common, nothing extraordinary to be considered an top 5 exclusive reward.

From 1 hour elixir (10plat) to 10 minutes elixir which cost same amount of plat?? Bring back that 1 hour elixir. 10 minutes is so low n very frustrating to run. Give back those 1 hour elixir. In maker event, all loot can be looted without any elixir n for this event some vanities only looted if use elixir????

up not sure why this was changed.. 1 should be the minimum what can we do with 10minutes

There are no new trails—the Frostfire Aura, while running around leaves behind a frosty trail. The Winter Wonderland Aura has a snowy trail behind it while you run.

The eggs are not also tier rewards. The furniture should be available each week.

Quick update, we made some changes to the forum post and Winter content. Each piece of the Winterforged Set now has a chance to add the Hailstone Gem Freeze and the Set Bonus proc has been adjusted, see post for details! We have also removed the helmets and rings from the guaranteed loot list.
