Archer +2 Regen Build

After reading through the forums and respeccing a couple of times I thought I might share this interesting Archer build with everyone.

I've found that with a sacrifice to DEX and by spending enough points in STR & INT combined with certain gear you can get +2 to Health/Mana regen.

The minimum requirement for this setup to work appears to be 10 to STR/INT. And as far as I can tell through my testing, any +1 regen gear should result in the following...

Before equipping the gear... (0) Health/Mana Regen.

But with the 10 STR combined with the +1 Mana Regen from the Burglar's Archery Cap you get a total of +2 to Mana Regen

And the same goes for the +1 Health regen from the Pirate's Platinum Bow for a total of +2 Health regen.

And with both gear items equipped for a +2 to Health/Mana Regen.

Now, obviously with a greater sacrifice to DEX, you could spend more points in STR/INT for the flat +1 regen boost but I've found this to be far more interesting as you don't have to spend any extra STR/INT points, over 10, to get an easy +2 regen boost with the appropriate gear.

Anyway, and although I will probably respec again, I thought this was an interesting build and worth sharing with the community. Hope you enjoy!

Works pretty well, although I've only seen a 2 h/s build with rest into dex, no int archer in action.

Good idea using the equips, at higher levels however you may not need this as much if the weapon you choose to use has it's own x/s bonus, but since having extra base regen would improve upon it, good stuff :D

Whoa nice. I'll elaborate.. I've been searching for unique archer builds, but it doesn't seem like many ppl are making them.

Yes, Definitely worth it. I have 11 points of STR and INT for 1 H/s and 1 M/s. Regen is worth it even if you use potions.

personally i would throw all the int into dex.. with meditation later you will easily have enough mana and never run out.

Past that tho.. I pumped str to 10 and didn't receive the 1h/s boost. What gives? Do I need to pump it to 11?

personally i would throw all the int into dex.. with meditation later you will easily have enough mana and never run out.

Thanks nathanyc and I agree, Meditation is a must for Archers and the 9 points in DEX vs INT will mean a boost to Damage & DPS. May still be worth testing until you can cap Meditation, with a repec or otherwise.

Pixxie, what gear are you using? AFAIK any 1 H/s gear combined with the 10 STR should get you 2 H/s. If you're just going for the flat 1 H/s from STR then I think you'll need to spend around 12 points.

I've got H/s 4 and M/s 1 on my Level 27 Archer at the moment (with equipment). I used to have H/s 3 and M/s 2 but I decided I wanted a bit more health than mana regen.

Basically, for archers, if you have STR and DEX at 11 will yield 1 regen in health and mana (when not wearing armor or weapon).
My archer attribute points are split STR 11, DEX 150, INT 11

Don't even think about getting 2 regen in either because you will have to put 60 to STR or INT to get the 2nd regen/s in either field.
So, I'm happy with the 1 regen base in both health and mana at lvl30.

Since I've hit level 30 I thought I might demonstrate the differences between the DEX and REGEN Builds.
The following screenshots showcase my level 30 archer without any gear equipped.

Based on the DEX Build we lose/gain...
Hit%: -3
Crit: -1
Dodge: -1
Health: +4
Damage: (-1) - (-1)
DPS: -1
And with H/s gear equipped we get the added advantage of +2 H/s. At a minimum.
