The following packages will be added: 200 Platinum and 4000 Platinum.

The Adventurer's Kit will still be available at the same price, but we're bumping the Platinum awarded from 10P to 30P. If you have purchased the Adventurer's Kit (or it's not available on your platform), you will see the 30 Platinum package.

We still plan on having the occasional Platinum sale off of the new base prices. Also, many of you have asked for regional pricing and that's something we're looking into.

Let us know what you think!

If you guys continue to do 10k+ plat kits can you add: 6.75k plat $150 - 45 plat per $1, 10k for $200- 50 plat per $1 and finally 27.5k for $500 - 55 plat per $1?

Your 1700 plat for $55 is 30.9 plat per $1, 4000 plat for $100 is 40 plat per $1.

The idea was to place a fair amount of platinum according to the prices, not just add 2 new quantities to the usual price, when you do one thing do it well not halfway, copy the same micro payment system as all the games in the play store and you will do better, battle passes at 5 or 10 dollars with gold prizes, vanity, etc, but as always making the minimum

Implementing regional pricing would be a fantastic idea. Due to the volatility of my country's currency, it's a bit challenging to contribute financially. Having the value adjusted according to each player's region would be incredible!

-1 for regional prices , that’s unfair to many players imo , just because most of the countries population earn less income doesn’t mean all the players in that country have a low income , that’ll be a huge advantage which is unfair

Oh but it's very fair, every major service does it and they ban those who try to use vpn to fake their region (easy)
$100 can be pocket change or a restaurant tip in some parts of the world, whereas the same amount can be a week's pay for a job in other parts

ofc +1 for regional prices

Why on earth do you care how much it costs. Cheaper plat means more items in game. Drop rates are so bad for.new.items you need more plat to loot whatever is coming out.

99$ does not have 40% off

It should be 89$ for 4000
And 49$ for 1700

Also some countries can’t pay with usd so change the currency to match their inflation its been years and u guys only taking usd which cost more for different countries its unbelievable

Possible 40% off the 99$ pack? Kinda scamming urself sts

scamming themselves? wdym? haha haven't you seen the sad people spending tens of thousands of plat and not getting what they wanted?
thousands of dollars...that's unheard of even in the most notorious gacha games these days

dont make plat the new gold
again what are you talking about? have u used plat in recent years?
just look at the latest event: 3 different crates now...for gear...for vanity...for pet...
all the rng has been getting so bad that I could easily argue 4k plat for 60$ is barely worth it

I'm not even sure if the value you can get for 4000 plat today is close to the value of 1700 plat some years ago

that being said this change will have the following results:

increase plat buyers interest/satisfaction(which has been at an all time low recently)
convince more people to consider buying plat
slight increase in the plat only item availability(again due to how bad the rng has become...soon we might have different crates for each piece of gear lol)

on the long run I don't see this change affecting the game economy that much in a bad way(and if it does I'm sure they'll just lower the rates even further)
but it will most definetly increase sts profits by a lot

The change in platinum prices with 1,700 platinum now costing $50 and 4,000 platinum costing $100—will make things more expensive in the game, much like printing more money causes inflation in real life. As platinum becomes harder to get, the platinum-to-gold exchange rate will likely rise, making it more expensive to buy things with gold. This will drive up prices for vanity, gear basically everything, making them less affordable for most players. To keep up with the rising prices, players will need to buy more platinum, which means spending more real money. In the end, everything from gear to collectibles will cost more, hurting the overall in-game economy and making it harder for casual players and normal plat users to keep up. This is all up for debate though just my personal opinion.

Yes, we have plans to adjust Platinum pricing for Pocket/Star/Dark Legends as well. There is no date on when this will occur, but it's currently high on our todo list.

Will that adjustment based on new 4000P pack cost or 1700P?

For example, one bought 2x1700P which cost $109.98 and you adjust. Will they get 600P+ (4000P - 2x1700P) or just $10 worth of plat?

Either way it is nice you guys are willing to adjust, thanks!

Is there any plan to bring back free platinum offers in US??

Unfortunately, no. Free Platinum from offers mostly fell into two categories: player fraud/abuse and refused payouts from 3rd party providers. It was too much of a hassle to deal with. I also looked into offering video views for Platinum, but the views per Platinum ratios did not work for us.

As platinum becomes harder to get

what are you talking about? after this change there is more platinum for less money
it literally makes platinum easier to get not harder
that's the whole point

making it more expensive to buy things with gold
on the contrary
platinum only items should be cheaper
if we get more plat for less money every1 will have more plat resulting in more crates being opened and more platinum only items in the auction
which translates to lower prices in gold

This is all up for debate though just my personal opinion.
I fail to comprehend how you got to these conclusions honestly
what you're describing seems to be the complete opposite of what's intended with this change

Once this update goes live, we're going to be granting extra Platinum:

600 will grant 200 Platinum per package purchased within the last 7d
1700 will grant 155 Platinum per package purchased within the last 7d
Adventurer's Kit will grant 20 Platinum per package purchased within the last 7d

These grants will appear as a single Platinum Adjustment in your purchase history and the adjustment will NOT count toward Account Rewards.

It shows that u dont know what youre talking about, but two things

1. Crates isnt the only thing you can do with plat to make gold

2. If sts can change platinum prices (to make people open more locks) they can also worsen the drop rate of gears from locks

Can someone simplify why some people are complaining about the changes? (I dont get it) As someone who spends a lot in this game I love, I don’t see any negative effect of an improved in-app purchase rate.

Are they worried that their stored gold will get less value?

Honestly, I get what you’re trying to say, but I think you’re missing the point. Sure, more platinum for less money seems like a win, but what’s actually happening is the value of platinum is dropping like a rock. The market will get flooded, and that ‘extra platinum’ everyone gets just means the platinum-to-gold exchange rate will skyrocket. In other words, it’s not ‘easier to get platinum,’ it’s just easier to spend more to get the same stuff.

You also said platinum-only items should be cheaper. Yeah, maybe in some fantasy world where the economy works that way, but here’s the reality: More platinum doesn’t mean more buying power. It means prices on platinum-only items go up, because more platinum just makes everything more expensive. The economy won’t magically balance out because of this change.

At the end of the day, players, especially casual ones, will just need to buy more platinum to keep up, which is exactly what the game is not supposed to be about. But hey, if you think this change is going to ‘improve’ things, I’m curious to see how well it works out when everything costs more and people are spending even more real money just to stay in the game. But, sure, you do you.

Maisakurajima

Meh change, players get no benefit. If drop rates stay the same, items will go down resulting in less value of platinum, if they reduce drop rate platinum will also lose its value. Im a spender and dont see why this change is being done aside from filling pockets of sts. I just got annoyed by the 24/7 40% discount, finally its getting removed

It shows that u dont know what youre talking about

what exactly did I say that was wrong? can you bring some counter arguments instead of just accusing? you should notice that's exactly what I did for everything I said

1. Crates isnt the only thing you can do with plat to make gold

yes and I said "platinum only items should be cheaper"
this includes any item that is obtainable with plat(awakening gems, keys, event elixirs, auras, etc.) not only the crates
I gave the crate example cuz it's a very common use of plat
every plat to gold conversion will have a lower price in gold which is something that should happen obviously
but that doesn't mean the real money to gold conversion will be lower, I would say it's probably gonna be a better conversion than we currently have

2. If sts can change platinum prices (to make people open more locks) they can also worsen the drop rate of gears from locks
this already happened and has been happening for a couple of years now
I assume you're somewhat new to the game?
so you don't know how the crates used to be?
with a couple thousand plat we could get quite a few arcanes some years ago
currently you can spend tens of thousands and not get one...

I also suppose you didn't read the initial comment I made on this thread?
"all the rng has been getting so bad that I could easily argue 4k plat for 60$ is barely worth it"
"I'm not even sure if the value you can get for 4000 plat today is close to the value of 1700 plat some years ago"
the above affirmations refer exactly to this phenomenon you're describing that has been happening for a long time now
the drop rate from locks and literally the overall value of plat in the game has only been getting worse and worse to the point that the real money plat price was absurd

so yes they can lower the drop rates even further if they consider it necessary
but it is already unbearable imo

which is why they made this change in the first place
most of us plat buyers were getting more and more unsatisfied with the value we got from the plat we bought

that being said feel free to elaborate a little bit on how exactly I don't know what I'm talking about

The market will get flooded, and that ‘extra platinum’ everyone gets just means the platinum-to-gold exchange rate will skyrocket
market will get flooded with what? platinum only items? that's exactly the thing the rates are already so bad that it won't happen just like that
if before you couldn't loot a blood artifact with 3400 now with 8k you're more likely to loot one but that doesn't mean you're gonna loot 10 artifacts
yes the prices will shift a little bit but I definetly don't think the exchange rate will "skyrocket"
on the contrary the plat to gold conversion will be lower
take for example the event elixirs; a 10 20 60 plat elixir has absurd prices
those should be cheaper and hopefully they will

In other words, it’s not ‘easier to get platinum,’ it’s just easier to spend more to get the same stuff.
this is already the case...you already need to spend tens of thousands of plat to get something...now you will just spend less dollars on those tens of thousands of plat

More platinum doesn’t mean more buying power. It means prices on platinum-only items go up, because more platinum just makes everything more expensive.
why would the prices go up if there will be more items? it makes no sense

At the end of the day, players, especially casual ones, will just need to buy more platinum to keep up, which is exactly what the game is not supposed to be about. I simply can't agree with this!
I'd say everyone will benefit from this change especially the casual players.
