So this is a suggestion to make the gameplay more interesting and add more variety’s which are not about gears and money pay walls. This could be a great alternative to ultimate skills since they are so unbalanced.
I was thinking about the introduction of different races among the 3 classes of arcane legends. These races will be obtainable at level 71. Add a npc in somberhold or fester which allows u to start the journey of awakening your race. At the beginning the npc will ask you if you want to start the journey of the race awakening and roll u a random race for free. Then there’s different npcs with different quests which help u to awake the next stages of your race.
For the second stage u need to be atleast level 76 and in vardan valley a npc will give u the quest for the second stage of ur awakening. You will have to bring him 5 stars. Stars can be anywhere. A npc can give u one when u talk to him. Can drop from a certain boss with 5% drop rate (for example planar tombs map 2). Hidden below a destructive barrel in the dead city. Being able to be picked up in a corner of a map. Like a scavenger hunt.
Stage 3 will require u to be atleast level 81 and have done the previous stages. A npc will give u the next quest to stage 3 which will be different for all races. For example ghoul race u need to kill 8 Enemies in 1 tdm map without dying. Rabbit race requires u to complete the following maps in timed mode. Arcanum grounds within 1 minute. Mount spyr within 25 seconds. Rockhorn summit within 28 seconds. Orrick within 10 seconds. Ofc not solo.
I’m sure you can think of some good ideas for the other races. Maybe another Player can give suggestions in the comments below.

Stage 4 will be divided into trials. You need to complete 5 trials to obtain the awakening and the stage 4 Buff. A Npc in berryline bay will give u a timer like it used to be in honor PvP. Only 1 Player per race. You need to be atleast 3 different races up to 5. If 5 players get together the trials start immediately. Else you have a 2 minute countdown to wait till atleast 3 players find together. If there’s less than 3 players you will be sent back to the npc to get a new timer. Each trial will be the same as the previous just more difficult. Each race has a different trial. If 1 player fails its trial the others fail automatically too. If all succeed their trial they get sent into the old FFA PvP map and it tells them there can only be 1. Means they have to PvP to be the one to obtain the trial progress. The Player who succeeded has a 2h cooldown before he can enter the next trial. For each stage to obtain the player has to pay a certain amount of gold. For each trial i have a note below.

Specially for the cyborg race i thought about an interesting idea in which Players can obtain it, which isn’t from the random roll in somberhold or fester. You need to defeat elite rahabkor, elite ekenta and elite mecharydon without weapon nor armor. After each success u get a blue, a red and a yellow torch. You bring them to a npc in the vault and he will gratulate you and ask if you want to start the cyborg race and give u stage 1 of it. Once unlocked you can reroll the race at the fester npc. When you for example have done stage 3 of the angel race then reroll to rabbit race and then decide to roll back to angel. The progress will be kept saved. Each reroll from race to race costs 1m Gold and grants you a random race.

-Rabbit race:
stage 1 gives the player +10 ms
stage 2 +30ms
stage 3 +50ms
stage 4 +80ms (means when u have fully awaken your race u have 80ms stacking)

Press awakening and allies get 20% ms buff for 15 seconds

For the awakening to be charged up you need to deal dmg defeat npcs or tank dmg. Such as for the ultimate skill just quicker. These work in PvP too. In PvP it charges a lot faster when u take dmg then in normal maps. When you die the progress is deleted and you need to restart charging.


-Giant race:
stage 1 adds +5% health and +5% armor
stage 2 10% health and armor
stage 3 20% each
stage 4 50% each

The giant race in general is 20% slower and skills need 12.5% longer to recharge
Awakening ability adds 7.5% health and armor to allies in range for 15 seconds


-cyborg race:
-stage 1 gives +5% dmg stacking
-stage 2 gives +10% dmg stacking
-stage 3 gives +20% dmg stacking
-stage 4 gives +50% dmg stacking

When press awakening allies in a radius of 20 meters get a 2.5% stacking dmg Buff for 15 seconds (does not stack with multiple cyborg races)


-ghoul race:
stage 1 the user has +2% stacking dmg and steals 5% of enemy health per charged standard attack
stage 2 the user has +5% stacking dmg and steals 10% of enemy health per charged standard attack
Stage 3 the user has +10% stacking dmg and steals 20% of enemy health per charged standard attack
Stage 4 the user has +15% stacking dmg and steals 40% of enemy health per charged standard attack

Ofc health steal does not work on bosses. Should be a deals an extra 10% of ur stats dmg to bosses. For example u have 100 dmg in stats and when u launch a charged standard attack u deal 110 dmg to bosses

When press awakening allies within a 20 meter range get 5% stacking dmg and steal 10% enemy health per charged standard attack for 15 seconds (1% extra dmg to bosses)

-Angel race:
stage 1 reflects 10% of income dmg
stage 2 reflects 20% of income dmg
stage 3 reflects 50% of income dmg and heals the player 10% every 2 second of total hp while being in combat
Stage 3 reflects 50% of income dmg and heals the player 20% health and 10% mana every every 2 seconds while being In combat
Stage 4 reflects 80% of income dmg and heals the player 30% and 15% mana every 2 seconds while being in combat

When stage 4 is fully awaken and the player presses the awakening teammates in a 20 meters range get a 15% dmg reflection and 5% health heal every 3 seconds for 15 seconds (multiple angel races do not stack)



You have a 1 minute timer or 2 minutes to finish your trial else you fail.
„Run to the Deads“ Rabbit race will have to find a way through a labyrinth to finish.
„Fallen from heaven“ for the angel race will be stones dropping from the sky and you have to dodge them.
„Technical advancement“ for the cyborg race will have you to defeat a hard boss
„Demon of the dead’s“ for the ghoul race will have you to fight against a mage, war and rogue npc. Like the Gavyn fight in berryline bay.
„Stone to Rock“ for the Giant race will have you defeat a tanky boss that has a mechanic. You only can dmg him while being in a certain spot. This spot changes every 15 seconds.

After finishing the Stage 4 you get the titles and a badge for finishing them. Can also add aps to it.
Also you can for future update the races and for example add goblin race. Gives gold loot % buff. 10%, 20%, 40% and 80%


These awakenings are supposed to be hard to obtain.

I didn’t made this suggestion bc i expect it to be implemented. Would be great tho! I made this to show players and devs of what possibilities are hidden and kept unvisionized (neologism) in the game.

We have adding new ultimate skills on our list of things to do. It adds complexity, but having content unlock the ultimate skill levels is an interesting idea.
