Will we still be able to do Elite Jarl runs when we are L21? Or will the Elite level be available only for the next map?
Im not sure because if they remove elite will this mean all elite items from elite maps will be come "limited". Also will the pets receive from elite be discontinued also. Hmmm

but L21 players will have an easy time farming current elite bosses and it would saturate the elite item market.
No it wouldnt think of how many people will level past 16 meaning the items will become useless anyway and people will want 21 elite items not 16 elite items. ONLY thing that will be effected is elite pets.

the L21 guys opening the chests will get L21 elite items.
Chests are max scaled of 15-16. What ive been told by several people in my guild. I known theyll have a plan to stop this.

Of course they are, Max level is currently 16. One would imagine that the scalability of the chests has already been built into the code.

It'll probably be area specific. Like say the level 21 zone is called Underworld for example. Farming elite chests there will give you Elite Golden Chest (Underworld) and it'll have level 21 loots. But if you farm current elite zones you'll get a Elite Golden Chest (Ydra) which will only have level 16 loot.
That's how I would do it anyway.

Confuuuussssiiinngggggg chests should have fixed level that the best , Elite Gold Chest (21)

so you are just speculating... but as of now with the current system, all chests bought from the auction house or farmed from current elite bosses will still be scaled to the level of the player opening whether he is L1 or L21. can a dev comment on this matter?

The plan is to level up the current Elite maps so that they stay relevant for level 20-21's after we raise the level cap. Of course plans can change....

I think the elite maps will scale, so when the new level cap comes out if you enter elites at 15 -16 you'll get that level of drops, once you hit lvl 20-21 the drops will be for lvl 20-21 gear. Since elite items work as if they are epics of 5 levels higher, then your elite gear now won't be replaced by better gear until you get a lvl 20-21 epic or a lvl 17+ legendary item (normal legendaries are ilvl+3). Therefore lvl 15-19 could still run elites and get the lvl 15-16 elite gear and it will still be good.

it doesn't matter what you think. we need a dev to confirm since i have like 20 elite chests that im saving to open at lvl 21

Most likely we will release new chests for the new content and not update the loot lists on the old chests. However, nothing is set in stone right now so it's up to you if you want to gamble.

Swede, while you're in a wisdom-granting mood, can you say whether the contents of a chest are determined when the chest is acquired, or when it's opened? From your previous reply, it sounds like the level is determined when the chest is acquired, but what about the contents?
