There was a 2000 plat arcane legends contest where you guessed a number on "how many people have died from the barrels" in a certain stage. Your answer had to be in your sig, I guess to promote "knowing how to edit your sig."
Sadly, the contest is now over. The correct answer was 2030.

There have been a few contests and stuff similar to that in PL, just not very commonly or recently. Just keep an eye on the contests section. I think there was a plat giveaway for people who downloaded chrome when it came out.
