This post is for players who are new to the game and might be easy to scam so if you are new here is some ways to avoid being scammed 1. One of the most common scams is saying they will give more gold in one game for maybe half of what they will give in a different game such as " I WILL GIVE 1 MILLION IN DARK LEGENDS FOR 100K IN ARCANE LEGENDS!!!" if you do this you most likely will never hear from the scamer again and loose all your gold 2. Saying if you give them an item first they will give you a better one after if you give yours this is a most likely a scam and you will loose your item 3.saying i will double your gold this is a scam there is no way to double gold so don't give them gold or they will take off with your gold 4. claiming they can give you free platinum or gold if you give them your account user name and password this is a scam you will loose you items. NEVER GIVE OUT YOU ACCOUNT INFORMATION!

Summary: Don't trade with someone if they aren't willing to offer their side of the bargain in the trade window. If its impossible for them to do so, then the exchange is against the STS Terms of Agreement that you agreed to when you made your account.

To avoid being scammed, you just gotta be cautious. No trading while you're drunk, crying because your girl left you, and watching 90's sitcoms at 2a.m.

And don't trust people. When I first started with MMO's, I was just a wee lad with stars in my eyes. About 11 or so. I spent a lot of time saving cash monies in this one game, and then lent an expensive item to a guy who I had played with for quite a long time. A few months or so, which seems moderately long to me. He stole it right then and there, and I never saw the item again, and he never chatted me again. Just like that. My 11 year old soul was crushed, and I became a dark coal miner at heart. Gotta be cold if you want to avoid being scammed. Everyone is not your friend.

I wouldn't necessarily say that. If even one oerson sees this thread and avoids losing their savings to a scam, then it was worth posting.

Ironically he screwed up before posting this on my legit thread and insulted his own spam thread correctly. Good job man. And again, may I suggest a chill pill?

Thread locked. Please everyone follow the rules:

1. Please Respect Others.
The purpose of the forum is to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas. Occasionally, conflicts may arise when people voice opinions. Be courteous when disagreeing with others. Debating the opinion is appropriate, however criticism against the originator of the opinion is not allowed. Disrespect can be construed as flaming, trolling, harassing, profanity, abusive language or abbreviations, personal attacks, racial, religious, ethnic, sexual slurs, or similar behavior/language.

Flaming is defined as posts which are designed to personally berate or insult another.

Trolling is defined as deliberately posting derogatory, inflammatory comments/threads in order to bait other users into responding. Trolling or accusing someone of being a troll is also a form of trolling and is not permitted.

Posts similar to “Moderator Notified” or “Needs thread lock” are discouraged, as these types of posts are a form of trolling. If a thread is in violation of the forum rules, use the notify moderator button or send a private message to a moderator or administrator directly.

Personal attacks include, but are not limited to insulting a poster directly:

Example: “You are stupid, you suck, and you should [censored].”

The above are a just few examples of behavior that is not tolerated on the forums. Basically, play nice and get along. Thanks!
