Obviously it will take some time for the new classes to rank up on the Overall leaderboards. But, I wonder who will own the leaderboards for the new classes...

No, sir. Legendary itemsets are all the same. Aren't you glad gear isn't class specific, now? A rhino with no plate would be a sad sight. ;P

It will be interesting to see how balance shakes out with the new classes. We'll be keeping an eye out for your feedback. I suppose the leaderboards will be telling, too. :)

We've done our best to balance test internally. Balance always plays out a little differently on Live, if you guys discover particularly powerful builds.

IMO paladin might be overpowered in end game as STR set is superior.

Prestige of being in LB dwindled some time ago. People quickly forget that Magic Castle + XP Anywhere Elixir = GG, if you can add some kind of speed booster there then double GG :D There's no way for non elixir users to be in LB, LB is pay to win :D Hardwork is obsolete. Just saying. It's the truth.

One of the special features in PL is that players can dual spec and choose what sets they want. Making class specific gears would TOTALLY kill PL!

I know what you mean. Sometimes I wish it was class specific. Other times I remember how fun dual speccing is.

Ranger skills benefit from spec'ing primarily DEX and secondarily INT. Paladin skills benefit from spec'ing primarily STR and secondarily INT. Spec'ing some INT for the Ranger will improve damage dealt from skills like poisons, and improve her bandage. Spec'ing some INT for the Rhino will improve the effectiveness of his his heals and buffs and the damage of some of his spells, like Holy Tempest.
