The key is what you just said. Variety. If there's enough variety to make people feel unique, there's no need for extra special rare items.

They didn't have snowman helm last your or Santa hat..:( this sucks, the only thing I get that's moderately unique is ruined...I.e. snowflake wings, Christmas tree hat

Last years snowflakes dont have the snowflakes comin out of them though

Hate it when they bring back old stuff.. It's really unfair to 2010-ers who don't have the Founder's helm. 2010 xmas vanities are all they have, and yet..
Thinking of quitting.. So disappointed.

Yeah I think it's stupid they bring back 2010 stuff but not founders. Snowman helm is kinda a founders item...I dun really like this Christmas at all

The point is we don't want them to come back! We don't want everyone walking around with pink tinsels and sbls... Even though I don't have any 2010 stuff and I wasn't there, I still don't want em back

Why not? The winter campaign is no different than any other campaign. Should Shadow Caves drop different colored gear every year? Should sandstone caves drop different looking gear every year? Why, then, should Winter Fest?

There is an easy solution. add 2012 to the start of the name of the weapon.

Well, the thing is, there are limits to how much new content they can have. Sam has mentioned before that the reason most of the end game oranges and greens and stuff are "recycled" is because PL is reaching it's max capacity of item designs. Not sure, honestly, how it all works. All I know is, if that's true, I'd rather have new items at end game instead of new pinks each year for people to hoard and sell really expensive in cs ;)

It's impossible to make everyone happy. Not to sound mean but in fact, it's their own problem that they weren't there last year. It's not anyone else's fault but themselves. No one forces them to get online.
