For those of you who haven't heard, there was a shooting at an elementary school in Connecticut.

Apparently a 24 year old man went in and shot 20 children and 6 adults. I'm sure the families that this has affected are going to have it rough. Especially right before Christmas. If y'all would, join in praying for these families.

If you aren't a praying person, now's a better time than ever to start.

As a parent, teacher, and American, this has been a rough day for my wife and I. (She is a teacher as well.) I cannot, and never will be able to, imagine the pain and suffering being experienced by these families and communities.

Many will disregard this, but I hope many of you take time away from your gaming and spend with your family. Tomorrow is not promised. I would like to see STS extend the Free Respec weekend (though I doubt they will), so you kids can put down your devices and focus on what is truly important.

I don't think this is the appropriate type of forum to be discussing horrific tragedies. There are young kids here who might not know how to appropriately react to this kind of negativity. I myself am a young adult and this story practically put me into shock.

Yes, this is quite horrific and Obama's speech almost made me cry... I could never imagine how I could cope if someone I knew died in this way. Everybody must remember, though... Thousands of kids die a day around the world. They die with preventable causes, natural, but preventable. Like Crim said, please keep them in your prayers, but also all people who die with unreasonable causes. It is the time of Advent, so make sure you're doing what's most important.

Then don't turn on the tv because stuff like this happens everyday, everywhere. There is absolutely nothing wrong with expressing sympathy for those involved.

BTW, last time I checked, STS produces games in which we "kill" creatures and each other (PvP.) Doesn't get much more negative than that.
