He also drops a shield of gratitude! I got one! I can't have pics cus I suddenly can't log on acc sorry.

unless he drops elites, i dont see many people farming him. He takes too long!

Red Dragon Lair, go down hole where Emma is, go to end of that Underground passage that was previously empty and you will find the portal to the Elite Onyx lair, so long as you are wearing or have worn the disguise from the Elite Dragon Quest.
You can use potions, thankfully, to beat him.

you would need a hell of a lot of health pots to do so. He hits hard and the four golems need to be taken out too.

Spimeslam just put together a team for me while I was on break and we killed him, and I would say the answer to my question is an over whelming NO! ;)

He has a greater chance of dropping Legendaries, like the Elite Dragonet.

you need to wear the black vanity armor from the previous quest to enter the hole.
