Ive been trying to sell some items that are eorth more than the gold I have and it says I have insufficient gold. At the moment I only have 269 gold because I do t have much time to farm so I cant sell my tankton egg. Do I need more money just to sell?

Yes I faced this problem the other day too. I found another item that I could afford to sell and sold it so I could afford to sell my more expensive item for the price I wanted to sell it for.
Also maybe try sell it on the forums or in a town as this does not cost anything.
