What to Respec? New, sorry.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums!
I am a level 12 Sorcerer and I was wondering what to respec my stats on.
I currently have a semi-full INT build that does not do so well, since I am very squishy. I have maxed the heal and 4/5 on fireball with 2/5 on lightning. For a more damage oriented build, what would be some good options?
I did not know the importance of saving my gold, and as such, I only have around 1000 gold. However, I have around 23 platinum. If someone could give me some advice on what to purchase and what skills/stats, that would be great. Thanks!

okay dude... i am not playing mage in this game but usually i play heal class in other games... i suggest u go for int.. and dex as u will get hp from int itself... u will be needing dps i.e. damage per second when u will lvl up more... so 60-40 to int and dex... hope it will help

Dex does not help with damage for a mage. Only INT does.

You should be pure int and go for high health/armor gear, or a good defensive pet. I use Malison.

I currently run

5/5 fireball
4/5 gale
4/5 heal
4/5 time shift

with 3 points in passive skills for +15 int. I'm maxed at 21.

With this build I can control groups very easily, and deal huge damage to multiple enemies.
