It was a rough battle but we and together with our friends have managed to once and for all finish Tarlok. But there's bad news! To sum up my expenses gear-wise:

Winter Fury Vanity Armor and Helm: 15 Platinum
Agile Lifethief of Force: 300,000 g
DemonLord Mask of Will: Farmed from Elite Golden Banded Chest from "Dead City Outskirts"
Granite: 29,000 g
Ring: 30,000 g
Winterwonderland Vest of Saavy: Drop from lil' Scrooge

Majority of these items are obtained from endless farming in various Elite maps. It is always possible that one not need to utilize gold (except for potions) to get decent items. Farming with persistence opens endless opportunities to get kachings! Spending platinum in my case is best to get hold of vanities and splurge on extra add-ons. Goodluck to all!

It's a matter of personal preference as your playing style would be unique from others. Anyway, here's my suggestion.

If you want to go heavy damage and work well on Elite runs, you might want to go pure Dexterity. Pure Dex rogues are now less likely to die compared to the prepatch time. Having a full dex character would definitely maximize the fullest potential of your class and you would be more inclined on dishing out high crits and a decent "tap damage".

The skills you would want to invest on would be the following:

Aimed Shot - Maximum
Shadow Veil - Get the added 3 seconds buff as well as the extra 15% damage
Noxious Bolt - Impact on Critical
Razor Shield - Duration
Agility (Passive) - Maximum. Added 25 dex sure is a lot of boost ;)

The allotment of the skill points is up to you, but this build proved to be a good one especially during elite farming ;)

Demonlord doesn't max dex, just like how granite doesnt max actual dmg output, but its all showboating anyway.
If DPS is the only thing you focus on, your actual damage output is less than what it can get to, whether autoattacking or skilling... and no... this isn't one of those dmg vs dps things...

Good stats as of now, however I suggest you use an Agile Lifethief of Force or Agile Lifethief of Potency when you reach the elite cap, as it hits harder during normal attack. Goodluck grinding!
