Cannon in Kraag

Hi, all. I notice a back fire from cannon in kraag can kill our toons, no matter how much armor or health they have.
But I remember when I was lv16 or lv17, this wont kill me. It will take off most of my health, but not all.
Can someone explain? Thx.

I would like to know this as well. Is there a way to prevent a death when using the cannons?

It doesn't count toward your death total. There's no way to avoid it, it's just random.

Yeah, it doesn't count towards your death total so it's just for effect. Kind of funny I think. Every once in a while when standing in Kraag you hear a scream of death! LOL

If you're a sorcerer with an arcane shield with 2 sec invulnerability, you might survive if you fire the cannon quickly after casting the shield.
