So I was just wondering, how does all of the gold to buy items get into a game like Arcane from the start?
(Like the first week the game was out.)

In the beginning selling your items only gave you about 4 gold, not enough to buy much.

So was all of the wealth in the beginning from people buying gold with platinum?
It wasn't like STS was giving out large amounts of gold to players.
Just wondering how so much gold gets infused into a game like this?
Of course after that gold just keeps getting recirculated.

Thoughts/Comments?

Hack :D

Just kidding. Usually the revenue gets generated by mind-blowingly boring and repetitive grinding on a certain map. Or, as you mentioned, people will purchase gold.

Plat.

Items were worth over 1mil the first week of release. The ONLY way people could afford that is gold for plat purchases. Can't farm gold in AL like in PL and the exchange rate for gold purchased with plat is much more feasible than any other STS game.

Very interesting question....I believe the supply of gold is now from the 2+ years of thousands of people playing. Now the money just passes between people for new sets. If there is a drop in people playing I would expect the value of gold to increase...though it still appears to be inflating now.
