View Full Version : Seems like nobody is spending plat on elixirs or on anything else

Unlike PL where its unplayable without buying elix or a luck reroller.

I wonder how long STS can continue to maintain such an unprofitable game.

They make enough money off of PL to fund all four games.

that's part of my point. its evident that star legends and dark legends were financial flops. so i'm curious if this game is going to be able to eventually hold its own or become just another extension of pocket legends.

I have the same thoughts.

Well this game so far is looking pretty good and it seems like most people like it. I think that this will become a very popular game from STS but Pocket Legends will always be their most famous. And I absolutely love Arcane Legends!

Nope I dont think AL is unprofitable at all. It may even have more sales than PL (on a daily scale), I think this because of the sheer number of people playing it. More people clearly play AL than all the other games so more people buy more plat.

Im too lazy to expand this but y'all get the point...

Just glancing at the data on app annie, AL appears to the the higher grossing app currently.

I think in the early going they have seen a lot of plat sales, because many folks like myself who came over from PL bought the $90 plat package right away figuring we would have stuff to spend it on. But I'm sure many others are in the same position as myself which is that I still got most of the plat leftover as there is nothing really to spend it on. As I rule I will not buy anything for plat that can be acquired through other means. So far I have spent a bit on elixirs at times, I have bought a couple of vanity sets, and I bought a couple items packs when I was first starting out. And I bought a couple of plat exclusive pets. But really there is not much to buy in the store, and I still got 80% of my plat left. I just wonder how many folks are actually spending 500 plat at a time to buy large amounts of gold. It's obvious that happened in the early going as there is no other way so much gold got infused into the economy so quick, but I'm guessing that has now slowed.

Don't presume so much about STS financial resources. With so much information regarding this company a search query away, you just look silly for it.

I'd rather just pay $5 a month a do away with plat elixirs and some other junk. Make plat stuff only vanity or guild hall stuff etc. Make gold drops and vendor prices be higher to balance doing away with gold sales. Put in professions for crafting and elixir/potion making. Maybe make it where a few recipes are only Plat not gold. Everything is so shackled to Platinum right now and the economy is Plat->Gold or don't buy your gear (or be incredibly lucky/diligent both of which counter the idea of a mobile game)

I would think this would give a more steady flow of revenue for the company with spikes in recipes/pets/vanities around patch release, versus the way it is now.

Interesting how you think your $5 can revolutionize development.

I don't know how much longer PL will continue to fund them. I haven't played for a long time coz SL and AL are both better. PL is just their most famous because it was their first.

What about my 5$? Cause 5+5=10 and that's more than 5!!!! And if even more people give there 5$ too it's alot of monays

People buy more gold than you realize. If there was no way to buy gold with plat, the elite pinks that now go for 100k+ would be worth like 5k. Gold is practically impossible to get without people flooding the economy with the plat->gold exchange.

A lot of unfounded speculation here y'all. We're thrilled with AL.
