what if the chars limit in townes wouldnt be 25, but more like 75 ( of course tht'll involve making bigger townes).

The reason for having 25 characters aloud in a town at once is because at the moment, that's all the iPod can handle and still run smoothly. This has been suggested and the devs said that's all the iPods/iPhones/iPad can handle ATM.
