there will always be another idiot put way less than the lowest price e.g lowest for flamestrike is 130k some idiot will go put 80k just stupid then the next guy will obviously put less than 80k and my items never get sold

sure there trying to make quick gold but com on at the first week-ish reducing price is stupid if u do wanna sell it for low price use trade/chat system

my point is my items wont get sold coz of these people who keeps reducing huge amounts of gold on pricing 5-10k is alright but reducing 50-80k is just stupid and then even i have to put less price and i make low profit :(

Just because the lowest price when you list yours is 130, doesn't mean people are generally paying that. You need to buy and sell more and figure out the actual going rates. Beyond that, just be patient. If something is listed below your item, maybe they're just looking for a fast cheap sale, don't immediately pull and relist it unless you think the market for that item is crashing. Otherwise just wait it out.

I would expect not to sell anything in the auction house unless you undercut the lowest price
by 10-20% at least. Just my experience from both pl and al. If you think an item is priced too
low in the auction house, just wait until the items priced too low sell, or alternatively buy it
yourself so you can make a profit :)

Thats how it always is and always will be. You'll have to learn to deal with it

That's just supply and demand in effect. If you see 10 of the same item all listed in the ranges of 80k-100k, then you know there are a pretty steady supply of these hitting the CS. If you list yours for just under 80k, then it's a safe bet that some one else will be listing one and will undercut you within the day. So if you want to be sure yours sells today, so you don't have to resist it tomorrow and pay that fee again, you sell it at a lower price so you know it will get bought up fairly quickly.

So go buy the one for 80K and then relist it for 129K and then list yours for 128K.
Problem solved. That's how you make $$$ in the CS (works for me!).

It's not the first week... This season is close to an end. The market is reaching equalibrium...
You cannot expect people to pay high price for some weapons that soon will be history.

Merching so far in AL has been very tricky. I have been a very successful merchant in PL over the past year, but so far in AL it has been tough to make a lot of money on a regular basis. Here is the reason I think...

Prices on new gear tend to fluctuate quite a bit. It usually takes at least a month after a new campaign comes out for prices to settle. Trying to merch items that have not yet settled in price is very tough and very risky. On the other side of things, when a new campaign is about to come out, items from the previous campaign tend to drop in value very quick as people are anticipating getting new items. This continues until about a month after the new campaign comes out, when those items reach a low point, and then they usually rebound a bit afterwards.

So what does this mean in terms of AL? Well, since STS has said they are releasing a new campaign every 6 weeks, it means that prices will never reach a point of being stable on the current campaign. However, once the next campaign comes out, you can expect prices to become stable on lvl15-16 gear from the first campaign. The best stuff to merch is older stuff. In PL I made most of my money from merching lvl25-55 stuff even though the level cap was at 66/71/76 this past year.

STS has said that once we reach lvl36 cap they're going to slow down the caps to a more reasonable pace (I'm guessing around 3 months like in their other games). Once that happens, you will see a period of price stability in the middle of each cap period.

Timing is everything and yeah, you need a bit of gold to relist when you are trying to sell an item.

Undercutting by 1 gold is effective on cheaper gear, as people will always just buy the cheapest one. However, on very expensive gear, undercutting by 1 gold will make sure that neither yours or the other one listed will sell. Here is the reason...

Let's suppose the item for sale is a sword. So there are 5 swords available in the CS ranging in price from 500k-600k. The cheapest is 500k, the second cheapest is 520k. If you now list one for 499k and I'm looking to buy one, I will wait. Why? Because I want to see if someone will undercut you by a significant amount. And there is no risk for me, because at worst someone buys yours for 499k and I can still buy the one for 500k, so nothing lost in waiting. So maybe the next guy will list for 480k, and then I save 20k.

Undercutting by 1 gold encourages buyers to wait. And what happens when buyers wait? Sellers get impatient and lower their prices.

Undercutting by 1 gold causes prices to drop!
