I am a rogue with dps about 190. My level is 21.
Since want quickly end the boss, I keep using "Aim shot' skill to attack.
My critical value could reach 98% when I tap the pet ability(my pet is ribbit), so my damage could reach about 400 for every shot.

While I keep using this skill to kill the boss, two players (also rogue) call me noob?
I don't understand.
Is there anything wrong with this?
Thanks for the explanation.

Um, what did they say exactly?

Typically, you should be using more than just one skill to attack the boss, along with autoattacking (the bottom-right BIG button).

It does more damage than just using Aimed Shot alone, of course.

Think they did it for any of the following reasons:

1. 400 crit for rogue aimed shot is quite low
2. You migt be using heartseekers
3. You may be spamming one skill, try doing nox, aimed and normal spamming.
4. Your waiting after every aimed shot for cooldown
5. Theyre jerks.

Ps. 98% crit is impossible. Full dex rogue has like 7 crit, with ribbit = 47, with aimed shot buff, 57. Max crit passive = still 62 crit.

hah, I know the normal attacking button.
But my critical could reach 98%, and aim-shot got 250% damage on critical hit.
So I replace the skill with the normal attack(the normal attack damage is about 70 far less than aim shot 400), even I know this could drain my mana.

I have about 500k coin, so I think buying portion is affordable for me.
So I want reduce the playing time with the boss (maybe it also make the survival possibility higher)
So I think I could make a huge contribution for my team by doing this action...

Hope the problem is really rely on the normal attack...lol

98 is possible.

I put my 5 skill point on crit passive skill and full dex.
And my original crit could reach 18%
Using ribbit then reach 58%

The aim shot could accumulated after each shot(if u keep using this skill)
For each shot, u got 10% crit effect.
So before the first shot effect gone, u could get 40% more crit.

So my crit could really reach 98%, but only 3 second ( once pet ability activated)
After 3 second, my crit will drop to 58% (if still keep using aim shot)
Latter I could put this pictures :)

btw, the crit 400 is "not charged" average value.

No point of using aimed shot if it isnt charged. Might as well use charged normal lol

No point in using normal aimed not charged? Umm..

You can stack 5x on Aimed before you need to charge.

With Horton 20/22% no buff, full dex. (70%)

With Ribbit 10/12% x 5 aimed + 40% = 92%

(Not including if you use 5% in passives.

Im critting at 2.5k+.

You better give more description on the situation at that time.
But there must be some reason 2 strangers call you "noob" in a run.

Just thought I would mention that Ribbit gives a 7% crit for happiness bonus prior to the 40% proc. I reach 48% on my mage because of those combined, so a rogue can probably do at least 10% better if he/she is full dex.

ribbits overated imho

do the math, a pet with 15% dmg bonus + other bonuses or a pet like horton with 10% base crit and 25 dex is far better than a 40% crit boost for 3/15 seconds

unless u can 2 shot bosses dont bother with ribbit and go with wrathjaw/horton/granite/esteban/colten/mally etc

Re-tested Ribbit, getting a whopping 107% Crit total.

Funny it even rises over 100%. If you allready crit on every hit whats the reason to display if it goes over 100%? :D

With ribbit most u can crit is like 1.5k cuz ur damage and dps will suck.
