How often do the LBs get updated?

My guess is weekly. Once a week may be the standard, or when there's a new cap, update (even if minor.)

Ask someone on the leaderboard, namely pvp. Someone like Kanital. See how many kills he has, compare to the list (lb) then ask him to kill a few people. Sit and wait lol.

For me they update like every 8 hours, idk 5-10 hours, somewhere in there.

All what i can say the pve deaths-lbs do update during the day , i guess it's a 4-5 hours rythmus

Yeah your toon's name turns white when it lands on the LBs.
The friends names from your Friendlist which landed on the LBs aswell turn beige to grey.
And the not befriended people names just stay black.

It takes a couple hours (I think at least 6) for a section to be updated. Each section updates at different times.
