Full Dex or Half dex and str

Hi.I have a auestion should i go full dex or half dex half str.I saw this lvl 69 full dex with 605 dps(looked like a noob),but im afriad i wont have enough str and die very often,

dex str is good because you can use a STR set with the bow to and it offers more armor which is something a fox lacks

Sorry, but leaderboards don't mean anything. Boosters have a lot of kills and are on leaderboards, but a person not on forums or in game who isn't so huge on their ego might be better than you and not on leaderboards, maybe due to not playing fox early enough or just giving up on leaderboards because of all the boosters. You also didn't specify which level you are best in boosting in ^_^

I have a full Dex ranger that I just finished capping. It's really powerful at putting out damage, and is especially good with bow of Phoenix. But if you go this route, prepare to die. A lot. Especially at 65+. Mobs in Fang can take you down pretty quick, especially in groups. And of course the infamous Humania yetis will nuke even the most careful player. You can play smart, hang behind tanks, stay out at bow range and all that good stuff, but eventually you'll hit your leap in skills at the wrong time and become a stain on their shoes. Unless of course you use thrashers all the time, or only play when the STS gods bless you with a 3x combo daily. I haven't converted over to str/dex (yet) but I imagine the extra toughness is very much appreciated.

I'm playing my fox as 3:2 dex to str and having a lot of fun with it. I have a bird too, which is pure dex, and with the ranger skill set I've played as a close in dps fighter. I use some sort of knife - gruesome butcher knife is awesome! - and a wing. I seem to have pretty high survival rate and do a good deal of damage.

Anyway, I think you could go either way, but since a couple of the skills are close combat, I decided to goo that route. Besides, since is have a bird already, making a ranger that's a bow user and pure dex would have been too similar. Plus, I'd be so sad every time I saw a cruel blast go off. :)

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in. My ranger is only level 16. I've been leveling it dex/str and using the dual daggers for weapons. I have already seen some powerful all dex rangers at this level using bows. I think full dex vs. dex/str come downs to your playing style and what skills you use.

full dex. The main reason why people have a craxy amount of dps is because of the gear, not the attributes. the gear gives you more dps.

I would do just enough str for str gear and the rest dex. This is simply because the ranger skills are for in close combat. Therefore, str gear would keep you alive and you can use a bow with your str gear!!!! xD
