For some reason I'm not understanding DPS since we have to manually press the weapon button... It's obvious in PL and SL. Could someone please answer this for me?

I know what DPS stands for. In PL and SL, normal attacks are automatic so I understand DPS. In AL, you have to manually hit the attack button. Would DPS be how fast the normal attack fires while you're rapidly firing the attack?

The damage dealt.

PS: Are you in Legionnaires?

But AAHHH, lol, I know what DPS is. When I don't charge up my normal attack, I'm tapping the button rapidly. Each time the (whatever it is) comes out of my weapon, however fast it comes out, is that what they're talking about "per second"? Example: DPS 113. Each time I fire the weapon (each second), it'll take 113 damage off?

And yes I'm in Legionnaires.

If u are in game now, i will meet u in the guild hall now to explain to u. :)

In your example, 113 is the amount of damage dealt.

It's how much damage you do per second not the amount of damage rating overall.

Poop, I'm not on right now.

Yes. So if u can fire below 1 sec, it will be significant in the long run.

PS: If you are on the guild, just pm me if u need any help. I am online daily.

Oh okay. So when you actually CHARGE up the weapon, you do the full amount of damage? And are there any pros and cons to charging weapon or skills aside from the time it takes?

Charging deals more damage compared to uncharged. So if u put the crit chance into the equation, the significance is there.

I would think dps is overall average damage, either weapon or weapon + skill, u cast in a second. Ex. Is sec. 1 u deal 117 dmg, sec 2 u cast crit. 410 and sec. 3 u deal 114 and sec. 4 u deal 112. U get rid of largest attack and weakest attack add the the rest 117+114=231 now decide 231 by 2 because u only added 2 sets of numbers and u get 115.5 so ur dps is 115. That's how I understand it but just not sure if it is weapon or weapon + skill.

Skill damage have nothing to do with DPS. :)

Dps is the amount of damage you deal (disregard armor) in 1 second while spamming the normal attack as fast as possible. Base damage is the value that determines the damage of your skills.
