How does the green bars and forum titles work?

Ok so we can all see that some people have more bars than others do and that some even have different titles below there name. Does anyone know how these are acquired? The bars and the title?

1 green bar = they got approx 100 thanks/thumbs up, this is your reputation.
Title are changed when you hit a certain amount of posts.
