I'm leveling my bear who is 75, he has every type of elixir. I have a thrasher, weekend long exp and 3x combo from blessing plus double exp weekend on top. I should be getting 18 exp per kill but instead i'm getting 10. Then I went on my other toon and i was getting 1exp per kill not 2...wtf

DEVS please fix this issuue........................

18 is the value i think I should get but according to:

The bonus from each individual multiplier is calculated independently of each other, and then added up to arrive at the final xp value. Then multiplied by double xp. The actual mathematical formula is:

xp * (1 + sum of (stacking xp multiplier - 1)) * (double xp multiplier)

So if you have a 2x and a 4x and double xp weekend, and the base xp is 1, your final xp is:

1 * (1 + (2 - 1) + (4 - 1)) * 2 = 10

I should get 1 * (1 + (2 - 1) + (3 - 1) + (4 - 1)) * 2 = 14 but im getting 10 per kill

What color threat level do the enemy show in these instances?

I'm pretty sure double xp events are a multiplier, so yeah you should be getting around 18x (9x from the stacked elixirs, then multiplied by 2). Of course, a variable for how much xp you actually get is which map you're measuring this in vs what your level is.

all xp bonuses add together

you have a x4, x2 and x2? thats 8 times the xp

Actually, it's 4x (thrasher) + 3x (blessing) + 2x (week-long elixir) = 9x. Then the double xp event should be a multiplier, bringing it to 18.

I Thought It Went

4X + 3X + 2X + Plus The 2X = 11

2(2+3+4)=18

The threat lvl is lower when you're 75 so if there weren't any xp bonus stuff, you'll be getting 1 xp for about every 2 or 3 kills.

It's more complicated than you think but thrasher plus weekly plus 3x daily will net you 6x XP. Combined with weekend double XP the best you'll get is 12xp. Devs have confirmed this in a thread here in general discussion.

Has to do with the enemy threat level. Only other possibility

This didn't happened during last double exp weekend, I was leveling my second bird to 76 with exact same elixirs.

Techno explained ...there was some confusion over previous explanations:

Hope that helps :)

That's the post I was thinking of, but couldn't find it. I remembered it slightly wrong, forgot about the whole "base xp" thing when stacking elixirs. So, with a thrasher, 3x blessing, and 2x week-long elixir, you would end up with 8x, which then becomes around 16x with the double xp event.

Why is it not...2x(1+3+2+1) =14?

Also this assumes base xp is 1....I guess it could be more or less?

You guys are goofing this up. First of all, to make these calculations easy to understand, we will assume on the idea that the enemy you're attacking is worth 1 XP. That 1 XP is where the base xp comes from. Depending on the threat level of the enemy will thrdetermine what the base xp will be. What I've never seen confirmed by the dev's is what the different threat levels do to the base xp.

Second, in order to understand how the elixir stacks, you have to understand how they actually works. According to the dev's a 4x multiplier doesn't multiply the base xp, it adds to the base xp. So for a base xp of 1xp, it would add 3xp so that you get 4xp. The 3xp part is the effect of the elixir. The 4xp is the output. When XP elixirs stack, the EFFECT stacks, not the OUTPUT. So if you want to stack a thrasher and a weekly double you would would add the EFFECT of each elixir. That would would be 3xp (from the thrasher) plus 1xp (from the weekly double). That would give you a stack total of 4xp. You then add that to the base xp of the enemy which we decided to use 1xp to make the calculation easier. That gives you a total of 5xp per enemy. The 5xp is the OUTPUT of the stack.

Third, you now take into effect this weekend only double xp event. It DOUBLES the OUTPUT of your stack. So, for the above calculation of a thrasher (4xp) stacked with a weekly double (2xp) with an output of 5xp, the weekend double xp would double that OUTPUT giving you a total of 10xp per enemy.

So now onto everyone's favorite question: What is the max xp you can gain this weekend? That would be a thrasher plus a weekly double xp plus a 3x daily blessing. You first add the EFFECTS of all the elixirs since that is how they will stack. That gives you 6xp. Add the base xp, which I decided to use 1 XP, to give you an OUTPUT of 7xp. You then then double that OUTPUT giving you a total 14xp per enemy.

I accidentally hit the send button on my iPad before I was finished typing. Offhand, I saw you in-game, have you finished capping? You were at 73k when I saw you yesterday.

I have indeed. Considering capping another ...but probably 3 is enough this time round. Unless I get a x3 combo ....

Same here. Yesterday, I got combo elixirs on my 2 capped toons that have all quests done. What does the rhino that I capped that has a ton of quests left to do get for a daily blessing? 1.25 XP elixir. Go figure.

I got xp elixirs on my 2 other 76s today and armour and damage on my rhino and fox respectively. Both of which I would like to have gained xp. It's a conspiracy I tell you! Jk! :)

It does sound like one. If only they knew how much more I'm likely to play if I had a useful elixir. Looks like another day of Halo 4.

Because threat level is very low perhaps? Meaning that the base xp that we used as an example (1xp per hit) is greater than the xp you are actually getting in Mega Maze.

Ok so I did a quick test on my bear...

It has the x2 combo elixir and a 1.25 daily xp elixir

In BSM, one kill = 6xp

In MM, one kill = 3xp

My 68 burd running at bsm with thrasher double exp weekend elixir and this event is getting 18-20 per kill. It has to do with the threat levels.

In mega maze you don't get 1exp per kill. And are you running a full group?
Seems like you are getting the correct amount of exp, so if you are getting 10 out of a possible 14 at 1exp per kill that means you're getting 75% of one point (approximately) based on the threat level.
5/7th of a point.

Careful, or they may close down mega maze like they did magic castle.
