A question about elite level

Say that you were 50K to 76 and the new expansion comes out. Is this experience recompensated and if so how? I know that it's a noob question by someone who's never been near the lv cap before but i am 75 now so yeah. :welcoming:

Once a new cap/expansion is released, the new xp required to get to 76 will be XYZ amount. Since you're half way to 76 right now, your xp at the new cap will be half of XYZ.

Does that make sense? Haha

I believe if you were half way to level cap eg 76...you would still remain half way to 76 when the expansion came out. Your xp would be a percentage or fraction of the next level. If you had 25k xp, ie a quarter of the way to level 76, when level cap is raised to 81 you would still be a quarter of the way to level 76. I think this is correct.
