Need some help

I got a few questions, hope you don't mind answering them :)

Is there any way to rename your ingame character or do you gotta start a new character?

Also is there a level for level guide for a mage? I wanna go full int and I LOVE running into the middle of a mob and casting frost, fire, lightning, etc so I guess I like doing good aoe damage but I suck at working skills out. Would anyone help me with a level for level build including what skills and attributes to take on each level?

There is a rename option at the character menu but you must pay platinum to rename.
