Players not visible

As of the update yesterday, some players are reporting they are not visible on screen. I just verified the lack of visibility of one player for them. They can still chat but can't be seen on main screen or as a tick mark on the mini map. Anyone else experiencing this?

Update: Log out/log back in just allows the invisible player to be able to see different players online, but they are still invisible themselves

Like dungeons, players are spawned by instances when in town. Think of it like a logging another server in AL.
Easiest way to meet a player is to invite them in a party and meet in dungeons.
Or if you're both in a guild, meet up in guild hall.
