Anybody ever had their IGN changed suddenly?

So I'm off PL for one day and log in tonight to find my name has changed from BOOTYSTOMPER to YEGOBOR! WTF?? Has anyone else had this happen to them?? I've had my IGN for over a year and never seen anything like this occur!

Someone must have reported your name as "inappropriate." If and when it happens and STS changes it, you get no warning. (You don't get a free rename either.)

To be honest, I have seen worse names in-game and on forums.

Absolutlely! I don't mind if STS has an objection to my name, as long as they at least have the courtesy to let me know why and give me a chance to rename. Just changing it with no notification whatsoever seems a bit harsh >:(

Yeah, the whole thing is more than a little silly. IMO, if you have a name for more than a month, that should count for something. That is, if nobody "got offended" for that long, then they shouldn't be changing the name unless it's completely obvious the name is way out of bounds. And to let it go for over a year and then suddenly decide it's unacceptable? That's just ridiculous.

All this really means is that "objectionable names" are being decided by whoever happens to handle the ticket and without any kind of rules or standards for what's good and what's bad. Apparently you got some STS employee who was just in a really bad mood that day or has a brain the size of a dust mite. My condolences.
