Item Fusion Machine suggestion

So as a rogue I've often debated as to whether to use Lifethief or Heartseekers. The former has much better overall damage/dps than the latter. But the latter in my opinion looks a lot better. So I came up with an Item Fusion Machine idea ->an item bought with plat (maybe 15 or more) that can "fuse" 2 items together to have the appearance of one but the stats of another, e.g. Lifethief having the appearance of Heartseekers. Discuss.

They should have it, instead of STS having us buy vanity, they should just let us equips actual gear as "appearance" this way if you think the level 1 gear looks cool, then you can equips in an appearance slot and your wearing it. They should still have vanity, but this would make it less complicated.
