I have a hard time clicking on Baldur. I have to click or tap in several places before the window will pop up. Does anyone else have this issue?

Hiya,

To talk to ANY Npc Eg. Baldur without needing to click on them, just press the normal attack button

Use the attack button when it changes to the hand icon while you are next to him if you have trouble clicking on him. If you have Black Hearts completed, you have to click on the forge behind him. Hope this helps.

I found by going behind him a bit and in front of the furnace, it'll work.

OK well... maybe I should have clarified, when I approach him and the hand appears I tap the hand to talk to him but I typically have to try several times and move around slightly to talk to him. I don't have troubles delivering the hearts. Its only when I approach him to start the quest.

Thanks for your replies.

it seems like you turn the quest into the furnace, but you pick it up from Baldur himself

I have encountered this too. Tapping the furnace seems to be the best solution (at lease for me).

Many of the NPCs have this trait, but Baldur seems to be the worst case of it in the game.

Yes, this has always been a problem.

A high percentage of the area around Baldur that changes your attack button into a hand button when attempting to accept the quest does not properly pop up the quest screen.

As far as I've seen, he's the only NPC who has had this problem.

Deal-breaker? No.
Degrades gaming experience? Slightly.

For me, it's more annoying if I try to talk to an NPC and then my toon walks over to a nearby merchant NPC instead and I come close to spending non-gold currency without even a confirmation screen.
