Solo play

I know this has probably been asked many times before, but I would really like to see a better way to play solo.

I realize that this is an MMO, but there are just some days when I want to run alone & none of my guild mates or friends are online to party invite so I can run solo. I really enjoy playing elite maps alone for some reason and it would especially be helpful when doing daily quests as many times other players just burn through the maps to get to the boss.

are you only going for boss kills?or really finish entire map?

I'm a warrior who plays casually. I've no interest in PvP. I like to run and clear maps looking for good loot. I sometimes farm elite Jarl, Bael & Mardom and in those, I don't mind running with a random group.

Like I said, here are just times when I want to clear an elite or regular map without anyone else.

Invite someone into a party, ask him not to join you, make a map, and here you are alone for the whole run :banana:

In case you didn't know... to expand on what Chicken was saying... you don't have to be friends or guild mates with anyone to join a party.

Or you can use Anegriv's method which works and does not require any social interaction.

My experience with many boards is that there are just some people like to give bad info just to screw with you. I don't know who player 000 is & don't know if it is something that could screw up my account or get me in trouble. I'm not saying that Anegriv is that type of person, but since I know no one on this board, trust is an issue. No need to get offended by it. I don't trust many people. Since you've confirmed that it works, I'll give it a try.

Asking randoms to join a party just so I can solo is a PITA and I'd rather not do it. It would just be nice if the devs would create a simple way to solo if a person wants to.

Thanks for that /partyi 000 hint, I found it works but only if you're in a stage where nobody else is around (like when a group of you have just finished a stage and they've all left) otherwise it does an invite to the others in the stage.

Now that is something I didn't know until someone sent me a PM about it. The buttons on the social tab are always grayed out, so it never occurred to me to try to invite using the chat. That is simple, easy and the kind of info I was looking for.. Thank you everyone.
