Big Luck 2012

I know there are other threads that deal with this, but i decided to see what the reroll % was for the Bug Luck hat from 2012 because all the other threads have different %

Overall I killed a boss 200 times

Trial 1: Boss: Meathead
9 out of 100= 9%

Trial 2: Boss: Keeper
17 out of 100= 17%

So my overall reroll % was 13%

This was done with BIG LUCK. The one with 2 3 leaf clovers

From a dev post (from a WHILE back, i don't feel like searching the forums), Big Luck from 2011 has a 15% reroll chance, Bigger Luck from 2012 has roughly a 20% chance. Bigger Luck's actual percentage wasn't given a specific number, but we were told it was slightly more than Big Luck.

Trying to find the __% of reroll by farming loot from boss 100 times while wearing a luck enhancement with x% chance to reroll is inacurate. You can actually have a 1% chance to reroll and not reroll even once out of 100 times, or you can get lucky and even reroll more than once. The point is, it's a random system that's hard to find the exact numbers with precision.

No, I assumed they wouldn't increase it too much so as not to screw over people who bought the original Big Luck. That coupled with them saying it was only a little better than Big Luck lead me to believe around a 5% improvement sounded about right.

Actually big luck was supposed to have a 12% reroll chance, while the only thing that was said about bigger luck is that it had just a tiny bit better chance for a reroll.

Edit: included dev quotes about both big and bigger luck...


Big Luck is a 12% reroll. Little Luck is 5%. Always has been.

The Luck difference between the two isn't that huge. Bigger Luck is slightly better. If you have to have the very best luck, you might want to buy a luck elixir instead?

however, when you run the odds over a large number, it should regress to the mean and give you a better idea of where it is. That is why the OP ran each for 100 tires, which is a great start.

I always thought Bigger luck had a 15-17% reroll.
It seems a waste of money to buy bigger luck when you can use little luck and get a percentage too lol
